Turning The Ballot Box Against Republicans

@TheCobbler,
Democrats don't want people to remember that they were the creators of Jim Crow laws and that one of their old members was a full fledged member of the Clan, Jim KKK Byrd. Republicans were responsible for the passing of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which Al Gore's dad voted against.

@Baldimo,
Now who is the party of racists, male chauvinist pigs and homophobes?

Most of the democrat party today is comprised of minorities, gays, free thinking men and women.

And all you can do is remember the good ol' days I suspect...

I dumped the republican party and both of my parents would have dumped it were they still alive to see what the Jim Crow "republicans" of today have done to our US constitution and voting rights.

The republicans of today are nothing but wolves in sheep's clothing and you are obviously too dumb to see it.

Baaaahhhh!

Who needs science and reason when there is all that filthy money to be had from corporate lobbyists kowtowing to the republican party?

@TheCobbler,
Racist, chauvinist pigs and homophobes? Do you always have to be so bombastic and a liar? Besides your BS meme's, you can't prove a word of what you say. Exaggerate the stance on subject is all your side is capable of doing.

There is no real wage gap between men and women, at least not as bad as you guys on the left will claim. When you compare apples to apples, the whole myth falls apart.

Voter ID's I'm sure are the racist aspect. If only minorities were told to have them, then yes it would be racist or if they refused to give minorities ID's. Requiring everyone have ID's to vote isn't racist.

Homophobia? Disagreeing with someones life style is not homophobic. If that were the case, that makes you Hoplophobe. You have an unreasonable fear of guns.

Quote:
hoplophobia: n. Irrational, morbid fear of guns (coined by Col. Jeff Cooper, from the Greek "hoplites," weapon). May cause sweating, faintness, discomfort, rapid pulse, nausea, sleeplessness, more, at mere thought of guns. Hoplophobes are common and should never be involved in setting gun policies. Point out hoplophobic behavior when noticed, it is dangerous, sufferers deserve pity, and should seek treatment. When confronted, hoplophobes typically go into denial, a common characteristic of the affliction. Often helped by training, or by coaching at a range, a process known to psychiatry as "desensitization," often useful in treating many phobias. Also: Hoplophobe, hoplophobic.

Sure just like requiring everyone to pass a literacy test before voting wasn't racist in the 40's and 50's.

We can thank republican governors for the sorry state of our standing in the world in education. Lowering taxes for the rich is their only concern.

To Balance Budgets, Governors Seek Higher Education Cuts

Yes big education cuts and big tax breaks for the rich, balancing the budget by depriving children of educational services.

Then give these uneducated adults more guns too? Sounds like a recipe for disaster.

The rich will pay double in the end, mark my words.

Of course you have to reach into the way back machine for this one. Who said pass a test? We only ask that people have an ID. It racist that you think people can't get one.

Yet you can't prove a word of it. More bombastic BS from you. Read the link above to see what we spend per student on education. We put a lot in, we don't get a lot out.

I have nothing against education and even higher education. How many people with degrees work at Starbucks? It's getting the right education which you can turn into a living. I've always said we should limit grants for higher education to area's were the US needs workers. If you want a degree in 16th Century literature, then pay for it yourself. If you want to work in an important field dealing with engineering and science then we should fund your education.

@Baldimo,
I have no fear of guns, I have a common sense approach to guns. Allow unregulated guns to fall into the hands of immature juveniles, criminals and the mentally unstable without any regulation and yes the gun manufacturers get rich and innocent people die.

If one has no common sense then that would be something that would make one fearful of society and many other matters.

I have no fear of cars yet owning and driving them is a privilege and highly regulated.

Common sense, try it sometime dimo...

The world is a lot less scary a place with just a little forethought, less imaginary spaghetti monsters and everyone is not out get you... Who is the one afraid? Really?

Agoraphobia is often, but not always, compounded by a fear of social embarrassment, as the agoraphobic fears the onset of a panic attack and appearing distraught in public. This is also sometimes called "social agoraphobia" which may be a type of social anxiety disorder also sometimes called "social phobia".

Give that agoraphobic freak a gun! (cynical)

Once again you are full of crap!

List of countries by spending on education (% of GDP)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_spending_on_education_(%25_of_GDP)

So much for American pride and exceptionalism, and when republican governors are finished giving this education money to their filthy rich cohorts we will be at the bottom of the list way under Iran...

@TheCobbler,
So you want to go off of % of GDP? You do realize that isn't actual dollars spent. Based on that, you think we should be spending $25k plus per student. Did you look at the years on some of those #'s? Of course you didn't. Some of the list 2000 and the early 200's. That isn't current. The link I provided is current. Not only are YOU full of crap, you can't even use recent #'s.

He's another article that is more recent than you spending #'s for 2000-2007, which is what your wiki page showed as the latest US #'s.

@Baldimo,
Gee Baldimo, you seem to have no clue as to what it is like to be poor in this country.

I guess you think the mail is free and all government services are free.
It costs money to get your birth certificate. It costs money to get a driver's license. It costs money to get on a bus and go stand in line to get an ID. When you are making $50,000 a year, those costs are an inconvenience. When you are making $25,000 a year or less those costs could be the difference between eating for the next week or not.

This is about making sure poor people can't vote which has an added benefit of preventing minorities from voting because many of them are poor.

@parados,
There are more poor white people in this country then there are poor minorities, the race bating you push doesn't hold up.

There are 365 days in a year. Low income people get ID's for either free or at a reduced cost. It has been 10 years+ that this debate has been going on and in all that time those people couldn't take a single day to get an ID?

Sorry I don't by the excuses. If you have the time to apply for govt social programs, you have the time to get an ID. If you are unemployed then you can get a free ID from the state and you have the time to get an ID.

It is the politicians who think everything is free. Bernie Sanders has been talking about a free education for everyone. You lefties love to talk about all the free **** people can get. These same poor people think they get their welfare for free. It isn't free, it costs me money.

LOL

Comparing the US vs Finland? Seriously? Finland wouldn't even be the largest city (by population) in the US. They have hardly no minority's or immigrants. It's retarded to make these comparisons.

@Baldimo,
I see. So on one hand you argue we have to look at percentages or it isn't an accurate view and on the other hand you argue we have to ignore percentages and only look at the total numbers.

There may be 365 days in a year but many of the states have also reduced the number of days available to get that ID as well as restricting the times during the day when it can occur. If you can't take time off from your low paying job during a work day, then you won't get an ID. But you will simply claim they have 365 days. Drunk
