Nice deflection, but the election of Trump clearly serves Russia's interests. Trump's repeated statements about breaking up NATO and changing the relationship of the US and Russia from the US preventing Russian expansion into Eastern Europe into one where the US and Russia will deal with each other according to "shared interests"-no mention of preventing Russian expansion-are completely in line with Putin's desires. No American president since WWII has ever spoken of selling out Europe like Trump is talking, and Trump's winning of the election can only be seen as a coup for Russia.

@Blickers,
The US provides 22% direct funding for NATO.

It's based on Gross National Income.

Do you think you're actually adding something to anything I posted? You're making my point for me, all over again. By most estimates, there are MILLIONS of illegal aliens in this country who were NOT "apprehended at the border."

Apprehending that many proves one thing for certain: They are trying to cross. Assuming that everyone who "tries" is "apprehended" is just plumb stoopid, sorry.

But, to use your site's reasoning: If you don't catch them, then there's no "definitive proof" that they came in. Therefore, any suggestion that they have is FALSE. Nice try.

@layman,
And you got this information from?

http://www.pewhispanic.org/2012/04/23/net-migration-from-mexico-falls-to-zero-and-perhaps-less/

http://www.wsj.com/articles/mexican-immigration-to-u-s-reverses-1447954334

I'm sure you have your own agents at the border counting the illegals entering the US.

Quote:
Increasingly, illegal immigrants and "coyotes" have tried to cross the border through the Arizona desert. This is due to increased security along the Mexico-U.S. border near California. Especially during the summer months, there tend to be more cases of illegal immigrants who try to cross the Arizona desert and die from dehydration. Throughout the U.S. - Mexican border, more check points with U.S. border patrols have been added on the American side of the border. At these checkpoints, individuals may be asked for documentation in order to verify U.S. residency or citizenship. As stated previously, there are an increasing number of security measures that have been implemented at and around the Mexico-U.S. border. As a result, it has become more difficult to illegally cross the border. As such, the assistance of "coyotes" is in high demand. The fees for a "coyote" easily runs into the thousands per individual. Many illegal immigrants save up money or borrow money to cover this fee. Once a Mexican immigrant successfully crosses the border into the United States, they generally have two main goals. Their first aim is to send part of their earnings back home to their family and their second goal is to bring more family members to the United States. Eventually they hope to gain permanent residency (green card) and possibly U.S. citizenship status. Other illegal immigrants come with a different purpose. They emigrate to the United States with the sole intention of finding a job that will allow them to save enough money to buy a house or set up their own business upon their return to Mexico. Whatever the specific intentions of the Mexican immigrant are, many agree that their main desire is to come to the United States in search of a better life.

Heh. What do you think "net" immigration has to do with anything we're discussing?

Quote:
The U.S. civilian workforce included 8 million unauthorized immigrants in 2014, accounting for 5% of those who were working or were unemployed and looking for work, according to new Pew Research Center estimates.

http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2016/11/03/5-facts-about-illegal-immigration-in-the-u-s/

Nice try, cheese-eater.

Of course that's just the estimated "workforce." Customarily, criminally "employed" gang members, drug dealers, rapists, murderers, etc are not counted as part of the "workforce." Not really fair, cause they work really hard at their craft, but, still...

"That means your "millions" is just bull shyt." Heh, you still can't get it, eh? Look at the site I gave you. It's relevant, yours aint. It does show the number perhaps going down from 8.1 million to "only" 8 million. So?

You can question Pew whether their numbers are relevant or not.

It seems to me that the thing to be questioned here is your ability to grasp simple concepts. Pew has nothing to do with that.

Btw, did you read the story of the guy who killed two people over the week-end? He alone had previously been deported 8 times. For some damn reason, only God knows what it could be, but some reason, he was NOT "apprehended at the border" any of those 9 times.

@layman,
And then there is the story of the guy from North Carolina who was so upset over Gen. flynn's tweets about Hillary running a child molestation ring out of a pizza place in DC, he drove up to 'self investigate' walked into the pizza place and fired a long gun into a packed restaurant last weekend. Let me guess, it wasn't covered by Fox was it?

Well, OK, then!
