@Baldimo,
Maybe I misunderstood, are you heartsick that Trump won? Do you think the country is in trouble.....I wasn't quoting you I was just agreeing with your optimism.

@glitterbag,
I'm an optimist too! I don't think Trump's racial bigotry, misogyny, or scamming the public will follow him into the presidency. His family is already trying to promote their business interests, but I don't know whether that's illegal or not. It only cheapens the position; something Trump is good at.

He's already winning big time: http://www.politico.com/story/2016/09/donald-trump-business-campaign-trail-228500

@glitterbag,
My optimism that Hillary isn't the leader? That was my only comment about being happy. I'm indifferent when it comes to Trump.

@cicerone imposter,
Clinton Foundation was in full swing while Hillary was Sec of State, you didn't seem to have any issues with that conflict of interest.

@Baldimo,
So you don't mind he's a narcissistic self-absorbed, greedy bully who has never done anything for anybody but himslef, who heaps scorn on half the country he's supposed to be governing. who has beeen documented to lie or misstate or distort three quarters of the time. And you're indifferent to all of that.? God help us all. Trump certainly won't.

@MontereyJack,
Unfortunately for many of us, the American people have voted for Trump to be our next president.
I'm not sure how a self-absorbed narcissist can change just because he becomes president. A good trick.
I guess it doesn't matter that he's a racial bigot, a misogynist, a scammer, and a liar.
I guess anybody can become president in this country.

You do realize you described both Clinton and Trump?

Narcissistic and self absorbed:
Yep both people. In fact this pretty much applies to all politicians, not just the current presidential candidates.

greedy bully who has never done anything for anybody but themselves:
Both candidates have "done" things for people... you can do a basic google search for each person and find things they have done for the community. The question comes down to, was it for the community or to make the person look good? I don't trust either candidate either way on this issue and I don't consider it a qualification for President.

Heaps scorn on half the country they are suppose to be governing:
If it's Dem vs GOP, that goes both ways. If you are actually talking about individual people as "half the country" then yeah, still both ways. Do you not recall "basket of deplorables"? How about Obama when he said "clinging to their guns and bibles". Yeah, heaps scorn on half the country they are suppose to govern.

who has beeen documented to lie or misstate or distort three quarters of the time:
Once again, this applies to both candidates although you could say Donald a was a little more guilty than Hillary but she had her moments as well that the media didn't call her out on. Example: Her claim about gun manufactures and the ability for people to sue them. Everything she said on the subject was a blatant lie but did you hear the media call her out on it? Nope. How about her public statements from the very start of the email affair. Compare those statements and her statements towards the end of the election and you can see the difference. "I only had one phone..." Then we found out she had 2 phones and the excuse was "Well I couldn't put 2 emails on 1 phone." It just got worse. If the FBI would have done a proper interview, we could have compared what she said the FBI vs what she said to the American people.

you're indifferent to all of that:
Yep, sure am. I see it as business as usual for a political season and people who are candidates. It's the reason I voted for Gary Johnson. You should give a 3rd party a try sometime, it is quiet freeing to be able to pick on both sides.

God help us all:
Careful which deity you call upon, you never know who you are going to insult. Kids in college these days need safe spaces so that they don't hear phrases like you uttered. With the level of protests and the demand to change the Constitution because half the country didn't get their way, we will need all the help we can get. Cry babies always want to change the things that don't go their way. It's called a temp tantrum and a segment of our population is doing just that.

Trump certainly won't:
And neither would Hillary. Why you think Hillary was so much better than Trump boggles the brain. Trump isn't our savior and neither was Hillary.

@glitterbag,
Baldy has a habit of saying things and then pretending he didn't. He's done it before saying Muslims instead of jihadists or terrorists. Apparently what he says isn't what he thinks or means to say, but sometimes it is. It's our fault for not being able to read his mind.

@TheCobbler,
Underemployment is a big problem, unaffordable health insurance is also a problem not to mention a lack of choice for a growing number of people in the health insurance exchanges. The states are finally realizing how much of their own state money they will have to add to Medicaid and they are seeing how screwed they are about to be. How many state exchanges are there now? 12 maybe 13?

Are they really home? Last news I heard we had sent more troops to Iraq after Obama took the credit for bringing them home. They are now back!
