@snood,
You should know just as well as most vets, that civilian AR's are not assault weapons. You should also know that it has nothing to do with safety and everything to do with them being a HIGHLY ACCOUNTABLE item, nothing more nothing less. What was your job in the Army anyways?

@TheCobbler,
What does serving in the military have to do with the 2nd Amendment?

@Suttle Tea,
What does "virtually broke" mean? I think Trump's been there before. He's still worth a lot more than the average American. Only his mouth is over-valued.

@Baldimo,
Seriously? The Second Amendment guarantees that classes of people can't be kept out of the military.

@Baldimo,

Due process protections are important and neither of the 4 bills had any real protections.

BULLSHIT! Those laws have the same protection any laws have: appeal to a court with jurisdiction and ultimately to the Supreme Court. Quit quoting RW blogs without trying to figure out whether they make sense or not.

@bobsal u1553115,
What aspect of being placed on the No Fly and Terrorist Watch lists uses due process? You don't even know you are on the list until you try to fly.

https://www.aclu.org/know-your-rights/what-do-if-you-think-youre-no-fly-list

Quote:
Because of the extreme secrecy surrounding the No Fly List, people generally only discover that they are on it when they are denied boarding on a flight – often very publicly, at the airport. The public does not know how many people are on the No Fly List, and the criteria for inclusion are so broad and vague that they inevitably ensnare innocent people engaged in First Amendment-protected speech, activity, or association. The process the government has established for people on the No Fly List to challenge their blacklisting is grossly insufficient and violates the U.S. Constitution's due process guarantee. The ACLU and its affiliates in Oregon, Southern California, Northern California, and New Mexico are challenging that process in court.

I didn't realize that the ACLU was a RW group or that they used RW talking points...

Could it be that you don't really know what the hell is going on?

@Baldimo,
Why stop with no fly laws? Where's the Constuttionality of anything in Homeland Security or the Patriot Act?

But what you don't know is there is recourse the no fly list and people have been taken off it through the courts. How do you not know this?

The whole purpose of those stupid laws is that the rights of individual stand second to security, something you RW'ers have always claimed.

The US is spending trillions less on health care — and uninsured rates are at an all-time low
http://www.vox.com/2016/6/21/11981610/health-spending-slowdown-obamacare

The United States is spending trillions — yes, trillions — less on health care than government forecasters expected when Obamacare passed in 2010.

Back then, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services estimated that the United States would spend $23.7 trillion on health care between 2014 and 2019.

But the forecasting agency has regularly and repeatedly revised spending estimates downward over the past six years. In 2015, it estimated that health care would cost the United States $2.6 trillion less over that same five-year period, a new analysis from the Urban Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation shows.

...

The health care law significantly reduced certain Medicare payments. It also created dozens of new programs that pay hospitals based on the quality of care they provide, not just the quantity.

You are not wrong, but why add more to a broken system?

Quote:

How can you have recourse if you don't know you are on the list until you can't fly or if you have your way buy a gun?

We agree on some of these things more than you know. We all know the TSA is full of ****. They make you throw away liquids that are more than 3oz, because they could be a bomb, but they have you throw away a potential bomb right next to the security area... They failed over 90% of security checks yet still frisk grandma for weapons.

Those rights are not even close to the same but confuse the issue. It's what your side of the fence is prone to do that when guns are involved.
