@bobsal u1553115,
If all the big mouthed conservatives who are screaming about we need boots on the ground to fight ISIS would volunteer to go to the ME and fight we wouldent need the draft.

@RABEL222,
Beer joint patriotism seems to inspire damn few enlistments. Their commitment to a political stand does seem to know some bounds. The only reason there was no draft in the second Gulf War was because they knew it would have ended the war.

You are likely going to need to either figure out a way to make it work, or explode. The universe does not care about your hankerings, you are not that important.

Deal.

Victims and guilt. Haven't you had enough? How much **** can you possibly eat? Stop with a moral argument that will kill Americans to make you feel good.

@Baldimo,
Are you volunteering to go back?

If not, who would you be sending? are they okay with that?

If I wasn't to old, I would indeed go back to my Chinook unit and be an FE.

Who would I be sending? How about those that are serving in the military now. Is that not their jobs? Why would I need to send anyone? You join the military to defend this country, not to earn free college money.

I have a son that just turned 18 over the summer and he is thinking of joining the Navy. Is this the gist of your question? Am I willing to sacrifice my own children?

Sounds like something you should say to yourself every morning you wake up.

I didn't even thumb that last one down.

@Baldimo,
This volunteer who enlisted after his no-deferment exposure was over, has no problem whatsoever with the draft.

If we have national emergency everyone needs some skin in the game, especially those who support the military intervention.

I also believe in a two year mandatory national service, not necessarily military service.

Comment: Surprised anyone? Not me. DT is a disgusting person who attracts nasty white racists wherever he goes... His political career is finished... He has no conception whatsoever of what makes "AMERICA GREAT"!

A great American leader stands equally will all the races of people they are guardians of and they abhor this kind of hate.

Nora Caplan-Bricker

Quote:
If teaching women to negotiate won’t work, what could? Kray’s answer to this conundrum is an increasingly popular one among economists and researchers: ban salary negotiations altogether and set a pay range for each position, irrespective of the individual chosen to fill it. This lessens the risk of unconscious bias on the basis of gender, race, or anything else. This was the policy Ellen Pao adopted during her tenure as interim CEO at Reddit. “Men negotiate harder than women do and sometimes women get penalized when they do negotiate,” she said at the time. “So as part of our recruiting process we don’t negotiate with candidates. We come up with an offer that we think is fair.”

At the negotiation tutorial that the Post attended, a black woman named Maria Fernandes, who works for a nonprofit, expressed concern: “If I act aggressively, they’ll see me as the Angry Black Woman.” Boston’s program risks doing her a disservice if it pushes the message that her instincts are wrong. The city’s desire to give Fernandes and women like her more salary-negotiation tools is laudable. But the research suggests that focusing on how women negotiate won’t necessarily secure them their next raise, no matter how nicely—or firmly—they ask.

The American people are not going to stand for yet more government intrusion into our lives, so this is never going to happen by force. We are going to start pruning back government, not expanding it. The R's are on the right side of history.

Companies that do it voluntarily will find themselves over paying for labor, something that few companies will tolerate. Pay needs to be issued on merit, not by job tittle, the days when tittle trumps merit were over a long time ago for good reason.
