Likely they would have done it without Trump's threat of the "dreaded" tweet. They are appealing to the last of the holdovers from the civil war anyway. The way I figure it, the whole election season has been about cultural wars at it's very core with Trump at the head of the pack.

Based on photos of yesterday's Washington rally, an overwhelming majority of supporters are white Americans. I didn't see many people of color as part of the MAGA crowd.

I'm only going by photographs of the events.

I didn't say anything Trump not having any support from minority groups. I am only noting the apparently small number of non-whites at the Washington rally. This is despite the fact 47% of DC residents are black.
