@snood,
Exactly Snood, throwing the gun out with him was not perhaps wise but it worked out in the end.
When he came into the store earlier in the day he walked in with his hoodie covering his face and walked over to the drinks area then walked over to me at the cash register. There were a lot of people in the store at the time, he said, "You are going to sell me cigarettes!" Like he owned the place... I was very firm and said, "Not if you don't have a valid ID.". When he left he pounded the large window I was behind by the cash register with the side part of his fist. It rattled very loud but did not break. Most of the customers jumped and one woman let out a scream.
He had a front tooth the protruded in front of his other front tooth and he was a white guy.
I felt bad because he was only 17 and I would assume he did time for that incident. I really felt bad...
I wish there had been a better way to handle it. I worried about running into him one day walking on the street but I have never seen him since. It has been over 15 years since the incident but I would remember his face if I saw him again.
The night it happened my boss (who came to the store in the middle of the night) asked me if I would be in the next day and I said, "Sure I thrive on this kind of stuff." I was used to calling the cops every single day (sometimes several times) for the common occurrence of beer theft. (People don't steal beer much anymore with the cameras there...)
The next day I was in a sort of shock and quit my job.
The other man that was with him appeared to be in his mid to late 20's, he was tall with bushy blond hair and looked like a goon...
