Should I tell my boyfriend or not?

When I was younger I was sexually assaulted and it has really hurt myself esteem and makes me feel inadequate in relationships. My boyfriend and I gets in arguments all the time do to me not feeling like I am good enough for him. I feel that he deserves someone that isn't damaged. Part of me feels like maybe I should tell him the reason behind me feeling inadequate but Im afraid to tell him I'm afraid him knowing might make him not want to be with me.
