12 09 2003 Note from Mrs Norris, DHT to Mr L promising L Gp support with two named pupils. Mrs N unhappy with Mr L's decision to mix up the music groups as this caused serious problems for the unqualified teacher downstairs and with Mrs Reeves' report re Y9 class.
25 09 2003 Lesson Observation by JJG, described as ?'barely satisfactory'. JL given very specific and direct feedback about about the unsatisfactory aspects of his lesson and clear instructions about how to improve. JG very concerned about JL's tendency to let almost anything get in the way of his teaching and pupils' learning.
03 11 2003 Memo to JL from HT following telephone conversations with Mrs Davidson, mother of Lucy, Sixth Form music student resitting AS music. Both concerned about apparent lack of direction in JL's teaching.
05 11 2003 Meeting between JL and HT to discuss 05 11 memo. JL's view is that Lucy is doing everything she can to disrupt his teaching. It seems clear that the atmosphere between student and teacher is very strained. HT points out that it is unusual for teachers to experience this kind of breakdown in a group of just three students, all of whom have opted for a subject. None of Lucy's other teachers are experiencing the same problems. JL advised to try a range of strategies to improve relationship with the student and increase her confidence in his teaching.
06 11 2003/07 11 2003 Exchange of detailed memos between HEN and JL re GCSE students who are very concerned about their course work and progress. Every one of the students mentioned has an excellent track record of behaviour and work.
07 11 2003 Note from DJM, AHT KS4 , re JL includes
Ø His absence from class
Ø Causing distress to GCSE pupils by telling them he had resigned and would no longer be teaching them
Ø Parental concerns expressed at Post 16 Induction evening
Ø Very ?'thin' GCSE coursework files
Ø JL's apparent inability or unwillingness to provide information on students' work and progress
14 11 2003 Memo to JL from HEN re
Ø further concerns expressed by GCSE students about their progress
Ø clear discrepancies between GCSE forecast grades for music and those for other subjects
Ø vague marking/feedback to students
Ø JL's refusal to allow some students to engage in peripatetic music lessons for payment reasons despite our instructions to him in October
Ø The untidy state of his teaching area
Ø The impact of his unsatisfactory teaching on the school's bid for Specialist status.
20 11 2003 Note from Mrs Lamplough, peripatetic music teacher expressing concerns about JL management, persistent interruptions to her work, absence from his own lessons and poor relationships with A level students.
27 11 2003 Memo from JL to HEN re ?'crossed wires'
09 12 1003 Telephone complaint from Mrs McKeever, mother of Anne, GCSE student.
09 12 2003 Memo from HEN re JL's poor management of peri lessons
27 01 2004 MC file note re his own observations of a Y9 lesson which he judged to be ?'a shambles'. JL response attached. Lesson plan produced at 2. 30 pm.

17 03 2004 Memo from HT to JL expressing concern about his GCSE music forecast grades
12 04 2004 Note from AB, Y7 tutor, re very upset Y7 pupil. It seems that JL's over-reaction to some pretty inoffensive classroom behaviour
27 05 2003 Exchange of memos between JL and HT re A level course 2004-2005.
11 06 2004 Memo from JAS re totally unsuitable ?'cover' work being sset by JL. Follow up memo to JL from HT.
24 06 2004 Reminder HT memo to JL re impending lesson observation and visit to dep't by Music Inspector.
04 07 2004 Note from JL to HT re Music Inspector visit. After a conversation with HEN, JL withdrew his objection. When MC spoke to JL's PA advisor, he was told that JL had not consulted him and that he would not have advised JL to decline the lesson observation. I regard this as a blatant lie by JL.
08 07 2004 Follow up letter from JR, SIPP. In a detailed report, JR describes the lesson as ?'most unsatisfactory'. It confirms my long held view that
Ø JL's ?'music' lessons contain hardly any music
Ø He has failed signally to develop effective classroom management strategies despite massive support from inside and outside the school
Ø JL's medium and short term planning is muddled and ineffective
Ø JL uses the same teaching strategy in nearly every lesson
Ø The pupils have no confidence that they will learn anything in his lessons and react accordingly by arriving late, distracting each other
And I suppose that you are a Godscent (or, in PC terms, deityorobjectofvenerationscent?)
absolutely; i realized only to soon in life that i didn't 'believe' where i came from!
[or that anything so wonderful, could smell that bad!]
All I wish for is a connection amongst the peoples of the world. I aim for peace.
The thing is... if people have been going up to 'Heaven,' or 'Heathen' if you like to mutate, for the past two-thousand years, there must be a real stench of B.O. After all, I know that the Power that is boycotts deoderant.
Ahh, the last time I had a boy cot was in prison. Good times.
Ah, the prison system is twisted. They put you in cots, and throw in a pacifier (if you're there for the long haul.)
I am currently sueing the prison system for 'lack of promised pacifier'. My lawyer thinks it will work out.
We're also sueing for 'failure to rehabilitate.'

I believe that was the name of the 'other' lawyer. I hear he's from out east, but I don't think it was Newfoundland.
You know, I'd love to help you fight for the Cause. I have been besmirched by the prison system's taking my security blanket, so I know how you must be feeling right now.

wow, it's sooooo rare to see someone properly using the 'possesive' case!
[it's all about the blanket!]
Linus went bowling and got a spare, so there is a blanket to share.
give it to Drom; i'd probably just drool on it!
We can share, my dear. I shouldn't want a blanket-related rift to grip us. That, after all, is how Caesar and Brutus drifted apart.
Why can I post here but not over in Philosophy? I'm being stopped by something!
