Don't forget a nice walk around Jamaica Pond. And the Muddy River can be followed all the way to the Fenway.

I have a new idea! I don't think anyone has raised it. You can take a inner-harbor ferry to Georges Island for $8 a piece. From there you can take water shuttles to various other islands nearby. These are beautiful and historic places. I think the water shuttles are included in the price of the ferry ticket. The islands are part of a park system and the park, as a whole, is open from 9 a.m. to sunset, daily (during the summer).
