Your sentence makes no sense.
What are you trying to say? Is the husband in jail? If so, then she is passing time while he does his jail term.

But agree w/punk. Instead however I had assumed that the crime hadn't yet been committed, that somehow she was erecting temporary roadblocks to its commission
