@parados,
Here's a good article from Huffington Post on why religion is waning.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/13/religion-america-decline-low-no-affiliation-report_n_2867626.html

An interesting paragraph from the article.

But perhaps the most telling numbers pertained to the breakdown of the respondents' politics: 40 percent of liberals claim they have no religion, compared to just 9 percent of conservatives.

There is no good article about anything in the Huff post. And that again has nothing to do with the increasing jihad. You are as stupid as they come. Take nine minutes to educate yourself.

How shocking any of this would be if it didn't involve the Islamic religion. As it is, much of it barely registers in the media. The very fact that the bar of expectation is set so low for "the Religion of Peace" underscores just how different it really is.

No other religion has to attach "phobia" on the end of its name in order to bully others into silence - lest they be accused of harboring irrational fear for suggesting that Islam is different. Yet, all other religions combined do not account for even a fraction of terrorism in the name of their god that Islam produces each day. No religion is so demanding of respect while doing so little to earn it.

In fact, Islam is more than a religion. It is a rigid political and cultural system with a mandate to conquer and govern the lives of others via necessary force "until religion is only for Allah." Violence is sanctioned by the Quran, a book which not once tells Muslims to love those outside the faith.

Thus, the enemy of this orthodoxy is not just intellectual dissent and free speech, but human freedom. The divine charter of Islam is to impose itself and thus prevent the individual from discovering a different meaning for their own lives.

Islam breeds arrogance and self-absorption, which accounts for the collective petulance and perpetual grievance characterizing Muslim populations in general - along with the astonishing unwillingness to extend equal moral consideration to those outside the religion.

This disregard for others is rooted in the supremacist ideology of the Quran and Islamic law, which unashamedly draws the sharpest distinction between those within the group of believers and those without - towards whom arbitrary denigration is cast and hatred, harsh treatment and eternal punishment is prescribed.

@coldjoint,
Your critics don't care, coldjoint! After all, these hanged men are Iranian gays, not American ones; so, they don't count. Crying or Very sad People who truly care about human rights in all countries would not thumb down this picture. They would be sickened by the horror and cruelty of it all. But, as usual, politics get in the way of genuine compassion. Ahhh, ain't politics grand? Evil or Very Mad

I agree. It is funny( not to funny) how treatment of gays and women are a liberal issue when this is not condemned. In fact the people that proves this goes on are condemned. When liberals have this kind of a double standard why should anything they say be listened to?

Watching these people suffer seems to be a A OK as long as Islamic money pours into their organizations. Blood money.

-1 for the truth? Not one statement in that 9 minute video can be disputed. Strange the way the truth has no value here.

@coldjoint,
As particular posters keep engaging in:
- purposeful misrepresentation of my position
- as a complement to that - trying to discuss evidence not related to my position and then implying I'm being unreasonable by pointing out it's not related
- complete avoidance of evidence
- a refusal to judge (a thing containing differences) on it's own merits
- constant implying/accusations of 'you're ignorant of'...things I've already acknowledged (most multiple times)

I consider such behaviour very poor, unreasonable, and saddening, but not unexpected. That said, such behaviour renders ongoing discussion pointless.

I will revert to posting real life examples/evidence of my position. Without doubt, Islam will continue to throw up numerous examples of violence in the name of Islam (and it's related intolerances).

What on Earth are you on about? Coldjoint has no compassion at all he's a bigot who's trying to justify his hate. We've just reached the hundred year anniversary of the first Moslem receiving the Victoria Cross for bravery.

@vikorr,
We forced you to resort to relying only on anecdotes? That's funny.

You are also claiming I am misrepresenting your position. So let's clarify your position.

Just tell me if which of the following statements is a correct interpretation of your position.
1. Some people commit violence and claim they did it because of Islam
2. Islam contributes to violence.
3. Islam causes violence

You are an idiot. Look to the Koran for justification of hate. Awareness is not hate. The cowardice your nation shows is a disgrace. And you are alright with that? It sure looks like it.

And one Muslim rewarded for bravery doesn't change 1400 years of the bigotry and intolerance that is Islam.
