New Threat in California:
Investigative sources in California say that radical Muslims are planning to
go on a rampage in the city of Los Angeles, killing anyone who is a U.S. citizen.
Police officials fear the death toll could be as high as 9.

That's why it was funny. Those investigative sources didn't do much research into the actual murder rate in Los Angeles before trying to scare folks with a speculated death toll of nine. Maybe they forgot some zeros in their estimate.

Key word is "citizens", bfnt. It's a xenophobic racist anti-immigrant joke. (I knew that but decided to post it anyway.)
I thought it was funny, without being vicious. Ah well, if you have to explain a joke, it ain't gonna be funny.
