@blueveinedthrobber,
John Prine tells a story of a concert goer who requests he sing the Happy Enchilada song. When he was puzzled about the song, she said "you know which one, it's a happy enchilada and you think you're gonna drown". He then sang the song replacing half an inch of water with happy enchilada.
SO....you're NOT GONNA play ME that FUCKIN' pina COLADA SONG?
IT'S MY ******* BIRTH DAY, SO **** YOU!!!!
I remember back in the day when most people listened to the radio in the car to get music.
God, this would happen every day. Someone, usually a chick would call in saying she would really Really REALLY appreciate it if you would play a special song, and dedicate it to Nicky, or Tony or whoever. Then she would request some damn song that was already in the top ten, and being played about 5 million times a day anyway, such as Like a Virgin.
