@spikepipsqueak,
Outlook from where I'm sitting right now is quite spectacular. A rugged coastline with a couple of whales playing in the distance.

@Dutchy,
Distance interferes with seeing much that is magic. I wish whales spent more time around here.

@spikepipsqueak,
"Here I am girls", said the youngest Chippendale to the party of ladies whose husbands were playing away in the dart's team's crucial semi-final. "What have you got in mind?"

Mind your manners spendius. Don't turn this into an 'R' rated thread.

@spendius,
Presbyterians are pillars of the community. The rest of us NEED a pillar to lean on when we've been hanging around too long with Chippendales and brandy.

@spikepipsqueak,
Brandy drinking or possession is prohibited in the State of Maharashtra, India. However a permit for Brandy consumption may be issued to any person for his own use for medicinal purposes on emergency occasions.

@Dutchy,
Occasions justify champagne. For every day, make mine a cuppa, please.

@spikepipsqueak,
Please make me a cuppa too. Maybe later on we could open a bottle of Champers and be merry.

@Dutchy,
"merry" always makes me want to go all "Hey, nonny, nonny". I think I'm a prisoner of habit and association.

@spikepipsqueak,
Association football is a game in which 22 chaps, and sometimes ladies, which is quite amusing, chase a ball around a field supervised by a little Hitler type. Betting on the results is quite entertaining.

@spendius,
Entertaining lots of people is jollier than the "small, quiet gathering". I try to entertain them with drinks and nibbles rather than pratfalls.

@spikepipsqueak,
Pratfalls can be quite embarrassing. Just ask our present opposition leader in the House of Parliament.

@Dutchy,
Parliament is an ongoing joke though I don't want to subscribe to the "pay peanuts, get monkeys" view. There has to be a better way to organise this.

@spikepipsqueak,
This thread has gone quiet. Maybe it's because of Wimbledon.

@spendius,
Wimbledon lost interest for me. Overnight our local boy Hewitt was beaten in five sets in a quarter final.

Final semester is the most scary one. I was lucky to have passed through.
