@Dutchy,
Enjoyable outings aren't always the way you expect. Tell us which movie, as a warning.

@spikepipsqueak,
Warning bells always ring in my head when some female starts making eyes at me in the pub. I think "what's the bugger up to".

@spendius,
To be quite frank with you I love the attention of women in the pub. Many a good time was had afterwards if I'm not talking out of school.

@Dutchy,
School's out, so you're allowed to talk. Mental note: I must try to spend more time in pubs.

@spikepipsqueak,
Pubs are the last bastion of freedom. That's why the government is trying to close them all with the help of that bunch of puritans on the evolution threads.

@spendius,
Threads are proliferating with people who have political influence? Can I develop some "pull" if I go over there?

@spikepipsqueak,
There is nothing to be gained by fraternising politicians. I've come to the conclusion they are all hypocrites.

@Dutchy,
Hypocrites, I seem to encounter them most in the area of religion. Is that because religion is built around regulating the behaviour of others?

@spikepipsqueak,
Others need regulation. There are other methods besides religion.

@spendius,
Religion means many things to many people. This quote (attributed to Adlai Stevenson) sums it up for me:
Quote:
What do I believe? As an American I believe in generosity, in liberty, in the rights of man. These are social and political faiths that are part of me, as they are, I suppose, part of all of us. Such beliefs are easy to express. But part of me too is my relation to all life, my religion. And this is not so easy to talk about. Religious experience is highly intimate and, for me, ready words are not at hand.

@aidan,
Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted. I always remembered this after my first date. LOL

@aidan,
M8 is a global dance music and club-culture magazine as far as I know. I'm a fan of flamenco guitar music which it doesn't cater for.

For ages, I've been looking forward to seeing a stage production of The Witches of Eastwick". Tonight's the night.

@spikepipsqueak,
Night time is for sleeping as a general rule. I know plenty of people who do not follow this principle and live life to the full during this period.

@spendius,
Window washing is the best of all household tasks. You use muscles that you don't often use, you cna focus mindlessly on the job and when you're finished, you have a much better outlook.
