Pubs are the last bastion of freedom. That's why the government is trying to close them all with the help of that bunch of puritans on the evolution threads.
Religion means many things to many people. This quote (attributed to Adlai Stevenson) sums it up for me:

Window washing is the best of all household tasks. You use muscles that you don't often use, you cna focus mindlessly on the job and when you're finished, you have a much better outlook.
