Exactly right. My hubby does some carpentry as well.
I wouldn't mind seeing my 'homeland' - Holland / The Netherlands.

The Netherlands was the first place "abroad" I ever visited, not counting Keswick, Cumberland. We stayed first in Rotterdam in a young persons' hostel and I thought the whole place was just divine; I've loved Holland ever since, Oranjeboom beer, canals, streets paved in brick, girls on bikes.

Bikes are often free to borrow in Holland or Denmark. That is the mark of a truly civilised country.

Country was a place a Hollywood star didn't want to live. When her husband asked her if there was anyplace in the country she might consider, she said, "Yes, Beverly Hills."

Beverly Hills sounds like an Essex girl. I hope I'm not going to be inundated with complaints.

Complaints? Not from me! I'm a mid-western girl.

Miss those Essex girl jokes around here! Like, how does an Essex girl turn the light on after sex? She kicks the car door open.

Open season on Essex girls, then: what is the difference between an Essex girl and a supermarket trolley?
A supermarket trolley has a mind of its own.

Home grown tomatoes are best. The problem is trying to figure out which variety to grow.

I shall ignore the Tomato Digression...!
Plants have been given to me in memory of my husband, and although my garden is already stuffed full, I have managed to place them. People are wonderful!
