Hamburgers are not a happy thought at twenty to breakfast time. I'd prefer a nice French café au lait, with a crispy croissant and apricot jam.
Jam no, it was marmelade I had with my bagel this morning. Although the Germans call jam marmelade, isn't that peculiar.
baby chic to mother. Look at the orange marmalade.
Letty, they weren't kidding before. There really are rules in this game, and if you don't observe them, they will come to get you. Believe me, it's that serious. These people don't fool around.
The rules are, start with the last word of the previous post, and write two sentences.
At least, I think that's what the rules are. They will be written at the beginning for reference anyway.
A friend.
Isn't it peculiar how rules are made because they were meant to be broken? Just as Poe, I'll leave one token.
(Is that it, McTag)
Spirit-ed is definitely what I would call Letty - free-spirited. I like it myself. You never know what she will say!
Say something, padre! Give us some hope that one day we may be forgiven!
Forgiven sins are never forgiven. They're momentarily forgotten.
Forgotten dreams spring forth. A feeling of history prevails.
"Man will not only survive, he will prevail.." and the veil of the temple was rent in twain.
mctag wrote :"Although the Germans call jam marmelade, isn't that peculiar. " well, if that's all you find peculiar about the germans, they don't have much to worry about. i'm sure that you know that the germans call marmelade "orangen marmelade", and even "orangen konfituere" - that is, if it is really fancy marmelade - now, that is peculiar. hbg
uhoh, hamburger. You done broke the rules...
Goodnight from the land of swamps and alligators.
Alligators like marmelade, when they can get any. Otherwise they're quite happy with your leg.
Leg of lamb makes a good Sunday dinner. Especially New Zealand lamb.
Lamb's good. There's a lot of food on this thread, in between the random elements.
Elements of my spelling are poor. I believe I should have written marmalade...I used the continental version in error.
Error tends to creep in when one has had a late night, dancing at a nephew's wedding for example. It was a beautiful night and we were at a farm near Dartmoor.
Dartmoor, what a beautiful name, so evocative of walking across the moors in a tweed suit and sturdy shoes, with a set of binoculars at the ready and a corgi rabbiting about. Of course, I have no idea if Dartmoor is moorish or Moorish.
Moorish? I would call Dartmoor more morish than Moorish; I remember ending up in the National Park there, enjoying the tranquility.
