Xanadu, isn't that the name of a song by Olivia Newton-John? Or am I mistaken in my private Shangri-La?

Shangri-la is a fictional place described in Lost Horizon by James Hilton. Xanadu was the place with Kubla Khan and Abyssinian maids and all that jazz.

Home is where the heart is. It is something that you say which means that your true home is with the person or in the place that you love most.

Em is a unit of measurement in the field of typography. One em, in a sixteen point typeface, is sixteen points.

continuing from friends, where does "em" come in J?

Friends are friends forever together 'till the end. She promised me that she would always be my friend, but one day something changed I'm not sure what it was.

(Whoa...I swear that the post used to say, "those who don't, **** 'em".)

Was it Nietzsche who said that God is dead? Or Zarathustra?

Again the need for precision so loathed by those who prefer to deal in generalities must be stressed emphatically. NOT.

continuing from "Zarathustra" Laughing

Zarathustra was an ancient Iranian prophet and religious poet. The hymns attributed to him are the scriptural basis of Zoroastrianism. Zarathustra is generally accepted to be an authentic historical figure.

Figure out how much electricity you waste every day, leaving things on charge or standby. Then you can choose to do something about it.

It has struck me that some people post on Trivia merely in order to be seen to be posting. On the other hand there are a select few who post when they have a response which they believe might add a glimmer of joy to the daily grind of their cyber companions.

Rated by me as unnecessarily pessimistic if you must know. It may well be true but it isn't all that useful to remind people when it is just as easy to pretend that life's a bowl of cherries.

Cherries have a very short fruiting season. In Australia they are usually at their peak around Christmas time.
