Control freaks freak me out. I'd rather be with people who are comfortable.

Comfortable, well-fitting shoes are an absolute necessity. Not only will your feet feel better, they ease strain on the knees and back.

Back bacon is very popular in England. When you drop a piece in a hot frying pan it makes a satisfying sizzle.

Back to the drawing board after Council rejected my plan for a new garage. What does one have to do to satisfy those stupid bureaucrats?

Bureaucrats are usually easy to satisfy. You just put some currency notes into a brown envelope and slip it to them when nobody is looking.

Looking at television is about the extent of many people's exposure to "culture". Rather than raising the standard of taste and appreciation, most programing is mediocre, and beamed toward the least discerning viewers.

Viewers can determine the life of a program. If they don't watch, it's cancelled.

Cancelled television programs often include some which have been critically praised, but which have been running for years. I still miss one of my favorites, "Six Feet Under".

Under a canopy of trees I lost my innocence. It was a warm, rainy summer night after the pubs had shut and all the windows were steamed up.

Love can sometimes be a state of delusion, and it can produce considerable subjective distress. No wonder they describe people as being "love sick".

"head" is an Americanism denoting activities described on every page of the Kama Sutra. The sheer repetiveness and predictabilty is quite sufficient to put anybody off.

"Off with his head" is a quotation from Shakespeare's play King Richard III. Richard shouts these words in the Tower of London, where he has accused Lord Hastings of plotting to destroy him.

"Him and I" is applicable sometimes, and "he and I" are also applicable sometimes. Many people do not know when to use which phrase, but truly, it is extremely simple.

Simple life forms can be observed at close quarters in the pub. Most particularly on Friday and Saturday night when they come out in droves to show off.

"Off with her head" seems to be a common phrase. It was said by Henry VIII, and also by the Queen in Alice in Wonderland.

Wonderland Avenue, LA was the scene of a grisly quadruple homicide. It was later compared to the Tate murders at the hands of the Charlie Manson family, and turned into a movie (Wonderland) starring Val Kilmer and Kate Bosworth in the leading roles.
