WW II illustrates that when there is really a cause to fight a war, liberals in general will fight. They just don't like to be suckered into bogus causes like the one in Iraq.

Nightly news with maps and plastic army men positioned to tell all where everyone is and what the likely plans will be.

Nightly news with the number of body bags added and reported. Can you imagine the unified shrieks we'd be hearing 24/7 at the Battle Of The Bulge???

I know, as I think we all here know, had we to fight WW1 or WW2 today we never would have completed it to any sort of victory.

Interviews with disgruntled generals.

A call for the impeachment of FDR.

Battleships brought to a halt due to reports of oil spills from sunken ships causing the obliteration of ecosystems.

We dropped THE BOMB!!! No longer a massive uprising of the populace calling for impeachment but now demanding the President, VP, his entire cabinet, all the generals to be tried as war criminals.

Movie stars flying over to perform for Hitler and to beg the USA to retreat from their corrupting and illegal war.

War movies of supposed concentration camps are believed to be 'doctored'.

Brand X- I think that some people missed the sardonic humor. Roger, I agree with you. It's a sad commentary, but fascinating!

As has already been pointed out, the big difference is those were seen as JUST wars. few disagreed with our fighting then, pretty much to save the world. Not even for democracy, but against tyranny. There's a world of difference.
So while you can amuse yourself with such musings, they have no basis in reality, only serving to attempt to denigrate those who want to see our country uphold what we thought was it's promise. Hint; it isn't pre-emption or imperialism. Smile
