Brand X- I think that some people missed the sardonic humor. Roger, I agree with you. It's a sad commentary, but fascinating!

As has already been pointed out, the big difference is those were seen as JUST wars. few disagreed with our fighting then, pretty much to save the world. Not even for democracy, but against tyranny. There's a world of difference.
So while you can amuse yourself with such musings, they have no basis in reality, only serving to attempt to denigrate those who want to see our country uphold what we thought was it's promise. Hint; it isn't pre-emption or imperialism.
