i am not sure if ex-president Richard milhous Nixon made any speech or statement about idealistic realism or realistic idealism.
the approximate meaning goes like this: what is valuable to practice is not realism or idealism, but realistic idealism or idealistic realism. if there was, i want to know the exact original statement. thank you.
