Are my sentences correct English?:

-These several lines from an essay by Samuel Johnson are perspicacious and clairvoyant. He thinks that it is human folly to kill one another, especially when this would profit no one but the vulture and beast. This is the same as in a family. We say that even if a pair of brothers would sometimes argue with each other, they would unite their force(s) to defend the family, because they clearly know that disunion and hostility between family members would be advantageous to their common enemies. This could give some beneficial thought to those who think the two nations should be separated.

@WBYeats,

Not incorrect grammatically, but a bit clunky and old-fashioned in style.

The phrase "beneficial thought" might be worth replacing. "Clairvoyant" too.

@McTag,
Thank you~ um... but what would be your suggestions?

Also, is the plural optional in FORCE(S)?

@WBYeats,

Suggestions take longer. You didn't ask for suggestions. Maybe later.

"Forces" would be more common here.

@WBYeats,
I would use insightful instead of clairvoyant.

Perspicacious sounds a bit pretentious. I'd say shrewd.
