Personally, I'm a big fan of both Shoot 'em up and Strategy games. My biggest favorites are :
Quake (doesn't matter which version)
Close combat IV and V
Unreal
Return to castle Wolfenstein

I as well am a gamer, anything and everything I can get my hands ons.
However, I've yet to play Halo. I've played many games like it but not halo. Is it worth the buy? I know they keep talking about the release of Halo II. Just curious..

Just renewed my long lagging PC Gamer magazine subscription. Expired 8+ months ago.
Audiosurf is a music-adapting puzzle racer where you use your own music to create your own experience. The shape, the speed, and the mood of each ride is determined by the song you choose.
You earn points for clustering together blocks of the same color on the highway, and compete with others on the internet for the high score on your favorite songs.
And a month ago, I reloaded Sims 2. Play that once or twice a week.

12 hours a day minimum. And i have the rig to do anything. I have crysis2 and Hearts of Iron /armageddon minimised now while i post. meh

I enjoy all genres, perhaps fps/rpg, being games such as system shock and the original deus ex.
Though, I do also play consoles, generally jrpgs and survival horror in this case.
I would recommend gog.com to any PC gamer.

Only games I've played for a significant amount of time were:
Ultima Online from 1997-2001
Darkfall Online from 2009-2011
Both full loot rpgs. I like the risk vs. reward those games offer.
Now I spend most of my time trying to make games. Emphasis on trying. I worked on a couple rpgs for 2 years but now am leaning towards children games for mobiles.
It's more fun than playing games, but doesn't really amount to anything either.
