Are my sentences correct?:

Dear William

I owe you a response/reply. (The) Next time we see each other on campus, if we have no class(es), we should talk something over. But if you are too busy or if you don't want to do so, assume I have never asked.

Yours sincerely
WB Yeats

(I'm not sure whether the comma after WILLIAM/SINCERELY is optional)

@WBYeats,

It's standard practice to put the commas in, in letter writing.

emails are different.

@WBYeats,

Yes, once you take out the ( ) and the / alternatives.

@WBYeats,
WB there's a trend to omit commas

However you do need the one after "so" while you have to delete the one after "class(es)"

@McTag,
Do you mean 'no classes' is wrong and only the singular 'class' is possible?

@WBYeats,

No, I don't mean that.

That is wrong. The clause "if we have no classes" stands on its own and needs a comma after it.

Mac there may in fact be such a technicality but common sense refutes it

Other opinions welcome

It's by no means a technicality.
Your "common sense" gets you to the strangest places.
