OK wordsmyths, here's the 18th instalment, WITH LIMITED CLUES:

I'm looking for a 9-letter English word (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) which matches the following

Clues:
The letters 6, 5, 1, 3 & 4 (in that order) spell a type of FISH.
The letters 8, 7, 2 & 9 (in that order) spell a projecting PART.

Notes:
The correct word (and ALL sub-clue words) are found in Webster's Dictionary - 10th Edition.

Happy sleuthing Cool

Remember, this game can work better with the power of teamwork. Even if you don't have all the sub-clues, what you do have may be useful to others - so post what you know.

Don't be sad!

The word is ANCHORITE. The projecting part is TINE. The fish is ROACH. (Could you eat a fish with that name?)

Oh yes, the stupour icon...now I'm with ya.

I dropped that to speed up the refresh rate on longer pages - the more emoticons there are, the longer it takes to reload.

By the way, I like the new avatar...it suits you Rolling Eyes

Uh, gee, thanks - although the eye-rolling seems to contradict your statement! (?)

I'm still looking for the perfect avatar, and I'm not certain that this is it!
