While our PaL is thinking about Challenge #19, let's move on to Challenge #20 - which is the easiest one yet!: Rolling Eyes

OK wordsmyths, here's the 20th instalment:

I'm looking for a 9-letter English word (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) which matches the following

Clues:
The letters 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 (in that order) spell an animal FOOD.
The letters 6, 7, 8 & 9 (in that order) spell a part of EARTH.

Notes:
The correct word (and ALL sub-clue words) are found in Webster's Dictionary - 10th Edition.

Happy sleuthing Cool

Hmmm, the only 5 letter animal food I've thought of so far is seeds. (There are some 4s in my head: Alpo, slop, feed, but that's no help.)

Part of Earth: core, turf, clod, Asia?

PAL: Looks like you've run up against a certain type of wall. (the kind we don't like to bang into.) The kind Mac mentioned in an earlier post. :wink:

OK team, Challenge #19 is starting to wiff a bit - it's been hanging around too long, and I think it needs to be buried. Crying or Very sad

The answer was BACKBITER.

BRICK = MATERIAL
BEAT = SWING

Let's move on and solve Challenge #20. (previously posted)
