Here's CHALLENGE #28 :

I'm looking for a 9-letter English word (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) which matches the following

Clues:
The letters 4, 6, 2, 3 & 5 (in that order) spell an animal body PART.
The letters 9, 7, 8 & 1 (in that order) spell a type of COLOUR.


Notes:
The correct word (and ALL sub-clue words) are found in Webster's Dictionary - 10th Edition.

more animal body parts: acron, beard, belly, heart, joint, scale, shank, sheath, shell, shield, stalk, crest, blood, flesh, frame, plate, point, trunk, plume, scape, spine, talon, theca, thumb, valve, wrist

more types of color: cast, flag

More thoughts on color: pink, rose, rosy, gray, grey, gold, gilt, aqua, blue, cyan, buff, drab, line, fade, wash, cool, warm, silk, roan, pied, nude, iris, mark, heat, cold, glow, bold

Hint:
I've never eaten it, but the animal body part is used as food. (Think worthless, rubbish, trash, for another meaning.)
