1. Is it that it is only a cat left in the room?

2. Does being a gay being acceptable in the country?

3. (Why) Did being a gay is unacceptable in the country?

Are each of my sentences above correct in terms of grammar?
If neither, please help edit where you find incorrect to the proper way.

Okay Im, tho a bit awkward

Your concern, Beauford, puzzles me. Is it that the only creature left in the room (after the rest had fled to escape the fumes) was a cat?

2. Is being gay acceptable in the countryside?

3. (Why) was being gay unacceptable in that country?

@dalehileman,
Thank you very much dalehileman. May I ask you more question?

Would it still be grammatica If I change #1 a little to read:

- As I recall, isn‘t it that you told me you love it when I sing the song? Why do you change your word now?

- Isn't that it was my misunderstanding about your intention?

As for 2 and 3, Am i right to deduce from your reply that they are absolutely wrong in terms of grammar?

The grammar is okay but the construction is kinda plunky. I woulda writ

But didn't you tell me you love it when I sing the song? Why backpedal (U-turn, recant, back out, retraction, etc) now?
