The 18 years old kids who happen to be 6 foot and 6 inches tall and weight in at over 300 pounds kept coming after being hit many times.

Once more the officer kept shooting until the KID stop coming toward him as his training and commonsense would dictate.

Perhaps you think that shooting someone will always results in that person being disable and if you do I would suggest you look up the reason that the US military abandoned the 38 revolver in favor of the 45 semi-auto as their sidearm.

12 shots...with at least 6 hitting the young man...for what is essentially jaywalking...and you are okay with it.

You people are sick!

Such rounds are good at producing hydrostatic shock, but if an attacker fails to succumb to hydrostatic shock, the rounds lack the penetration required to reliably stop an attack.

I kinda doubt that. All the force of the impact is distributed to the surrounding tissue, rather than passing out the exit wound with the penetrating round. If the caliber is sufficiently large, I'm pretty sure that surrounding tissue wouldn't be viable afterwards. But I'm far from an expert on it.

@BillRM,
Doesn't matter; something you'll never understand. It's not about the size of the person being shot. It depends on where the bullet lands on the body, and other factors.

Most gun accidents that kill are caused by one shot.

No sicker than people who defend a criminal and make him out to be a saint.
If you intend to let anyone do whatever they wish because of an imagined grievance this country won't last another 10 years.

@coldjoint,
Tell that to the parents and family who lost someone to one gun shot.

You're irrelevant - like 100% of the time.

Victims and their families dont get to determine reality for the rest of us, only themselves. This is closely related to the fact that victims and their families dont get to decide for us what words come out of our mouths, they only get to decide what words come out of their mouths.

Why don't you talk to the Brown parents who raised that criminal?

It look like both his parents are criminal themselves with the father/step father telling a mob it time to burn the town down and the mother taking part in assaulting another family member over the right to be selling tee-shirts.

http://fox2now.com/2014/10/22/police-investigating-assault-and-theft-following-argument-between-brown-family-relatives/

Police sources tell us Brown`s Grandmother, Pearlie Gordon, along with Brown`s Cousin Tony Petty, were selling t-shirts and other Michael Brown merchandise.

A police report describes a car pulling up and several people getting out. One of those people, was reported to be Michael Brown`s Mom, Lesley McSpadden. A witness described McSpadden yelling ‘You can`t sell this s%$&” One of the relatives, who was selling, reportedly demanded McSpadden show a document proving she had a patent.

The police report says that`s when an unidentified person with McSpadden assaulted Petty so violently that it resulted in a 911 call. A witness tells Fox 2 that the weapon was a metal pipe or pole. The suspect reportedly struck Petty in the face. Medics then took him to Christian Northeast Hospital. The witness said the assault suspect grabbed merchandise and a box of cash believed to contain about $1,400.

It appears surveillance cameras could have captured the fight and be part of police evidence. Police report no arrests at this time.

We reached out to the local Brown family attorney, Anthony D. Gray and he declined to comment.

Sure got quiet. How dare you criticize the Brown family. Don't even think for a minute they should have to respect the law. They have shown they don't respect themselves.

Does anyone have a theory on why a guy who did not have a record for trouble or violence had such a chip in his shoulder that day? Why is he telling a shopkeeper that he is robbing to "chill" and attacking a police officer? I think we know all he had in his system was pot.

The only thing I can figure is that he had just graduated (late) from his super shitty high school and looked to be on his way to a shitty for profit trade school, so in his mind he was now a "man" and should get what he wants and does not need to take any guff from adults, especially white adults.

Does anyone have a better theory?

BTW: his High School was 98% black, that is a problem. Did BIG MIKE ever mix with whites? So far the reporting does not seem to say.

Frank, it appears that u INTENTIONALLY blind yourself
to the heart of what happened, to wit:
brown was not killed for jaywalking, nor for his recent robbery.
He was killed to prevent him from inflicting injuries upon Officer Wilson.
It was not punitive. It was self defense. NOTHING outranks self defense.

I just realized that this high school that Big Mike went to is not a real high school. Their claim to fame is having one of the best high school fitness centers in the state, and for their less than 1000 students they have 27 special ed teachers. What they do is offer the great gym to give kids a reason to come, then they do what ever it takes to get them a diploma. Once a student gets into special ed their special ed teacher can authorize extra time for tests, can make the test open note and open book, give them extra instruction, and so on.

These poor black kids from Ferguson get treated like university athletes, education is not the point, keeping them eligible is. At the university eligible to play, at normandy high school eligible to get a diploma.

And no wonder Big Mike was so big, he got that way working out at the diploma factory called NHS.

Because it could be that the only whites he dealt with were teachers at the diploma mill and cops. Maybe he had learned to not like whites. Maybe his emotional storm in front of this cop that lead to his death was primarily caused by his racism.

Big Mike is dead. I would like to know why he decided to attack a cop.

@hawkeye10,
He didn't, he was murdered by a cop for the crime of being black. You must have some sympathy there, you've started a thread complaining that you can't racially abuse your employees.

If Darren Wilson walked into a predominantly black school and shot a load of kids, you'd be asking why a load of Kindergarten kids suddenly decided to attack an armed policeman. And you would take the scratch where he'd cut himself shaving as proof that his life was in danger.
