@BillRM,
Hawkeye if you disregard Margaret Thatcher the last "man" who held the office of English prime minister with any balls was Churchill and he was half American.

How in the hell could a once great people end up with such sad examples as Izzy and David Cameron?

@izzythepush,
LOL but I see myself as more.........

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/2/27/Harry_Callahan.JPG/450px-Harry_Callahan.JPG

LOL or as Harry would say do you feel lucky my little gay Englishman?

In any case, what a shame that the English people keep electing governments that fear them to the point that not only are they not allowed to even have powerful air guns, but every move they made in public is recorded on video in their cities and now coming every move they make on the internet and every message they send will be under the eyes of their untrusting government agencies.

When I was growing up I was always told that only governments that
are totalitarian need to monitor and control their populations to that
degree.

Yes the US is slowly going in the same direction but thanks to our founders and the constitution they put into placed it is a must slower process.

footnote in spite of everything however Notting Hill is still my favorite romancc movie of all time.

@BillRM,
I am a U S citizen and am very nervous about being pulled over by a cop. It seems that rather than serve and protect they start shooting at what ever is moving every time they get a little nervous. I keep my registration in my glove compartment and when told to get it out will be very afraid of getting shot because some cop thinks I am reaching for a gun.

My my I been driving for 50 plus years and I had been pulled over for one minor reason or another any number of times.

Other then maybe getting a ticket there had been no bad outcome for me and of all the people in my life for a similar time period none of them had any greater harm done then to their pocketbooks.

Assuming you can keep your desire to attacked the police officer in check <grin> and it would not hurt to be polite to the officer also, I see no justification for any such fear you have in being pull over by law enforcement.

News stories tend to take very rare events and make them seem common , as once more we are a nation of 350 millions people with roughly a million of that population law enforcement with tens of thousands of citizens/police contacts happening every hour of the days and nights.

Hell the risk of being pull over by a police officer and being harm by that officer without any cause have to be about the same as winning a power ball lottery.

If you are married or living with someone you are must more likely to have that person harm or killed you then having a cop pulling you over doing so.

I had always feel that there should be a high school class on how to estimate risks that we all run everyday of our lives.

@hawkeye10,
Hawkeye been pull over for having a burn out bulbs, even once for having one repeat one of two bulbs that light up my license plate out.

It is a shame that I am not black as that license plate bulb pull over would had made a great story of how the brothers are being picked on by the cops.

Oh the one time I was not all that politic to an officer during a traffic stop was when my car electric system packed up just hours after having it work on and as I drift to the side of the road a highway patrol car pull in behind me.

My reaction was great she saw I was in trouble and was going to offer me help only to have her come to me to write a ticket for having my rear lights out.

My reply was madam my whole electric system had just died and that is why I was going to the side of the road before you got behind me and I do not need a ticket but I sure could used a jump.

She was then nice enough to give me a jump and then follow me off the highway to a service station. No ticket that time.

Official: Ill. Officer Tried to Set Up Hit
AP

http://binaryapi.ap.org/58c6092be7964cb8aad0da7439ee399c/460x.jpg

FILE - This undated file photo provided by the Fox Lake Police Department shows Lt. Charles Joseph

FOX LAKE, Ill. (AP) — An Illinois police officer who staged his suicide to make it look like he was murdered had a troubled job history, ranging from numerous suspensions to sexual harassment allegations to complaints that he intimidated an emergency dispatcher with guns, according to his personnel records.

Despite a reputation as a respected youth mentor, Lt. Charles Joseph Gliniewicz also had problems off the job. In one incident, an officer took Gliniewicz home after he was found passed out in his truck, and Gliniewicz reported his truck stolen the next day, according to documents in the file.

The records were released late Thursday by the Village of Fox Lake in response to a Freedom of Information request, after a day in which officials said Gliniewicz had sought out a hit man to kill a village administrator he feared would expose him as a thief, and may have planned to plant cocaine on the administrator to discredit her as a criminal.

The image of Gliniewicz that's emerged in recent days stands in stark contrast to the hero's funeral and outpouring of community support after his death in September.

Dubbed "G.I. Joe," Gliniewicz was a well-known figure in the bedroom community of 10,000 people 50 miles north of Chicago. His death, moments after he radioed that he was chasing three suspicious men, prompted an intense manhunt involving hundreds of officers, and raised fears of cop-killers on the loose. Thousands attended his funeral, and he was held up as the latest example of dangers faced by police.

The huge outpouring of grief has now been replaced by a sense of betrayal after investigators revealed on Wednesday that he had elaborately planned his own killing after stealing and laundering money from a Police Explorers program he oversaw for seven years. In his last weeks, he feared he was about to be exposed by a new village administrator.

Recovered text messages and other records show Gliniewicz spent the money on mortgage payments, travel expenses, gym memberships, adult websites, withdrawing cash and making loans, said Lake County Major Crimes Task Force Commander George Filenko, who led the investigation.

A detective involved in the investigation told the AP on Thursday that Gliniewicz apparently also sought a hit man to kill the village administrator, Anne Marrin. Detective Chris Covelli said Gliniewicz sent a text in April asking a woman to set up a meeting with a "high ranking gang member to put a hit on" Marrin.

Authorities now are also investigating Gliniewicz's wife, Melodie, and son D.J., an official said Thursday. The official, who was briefed on the investigation, spoke with the AP on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the investigation publicly.

A second official briefed on the investigation told the AP that Melodie and D.J. Gliniewicz were recipients of incriminating text messages from the lieutenant that investigators released Wednesday when they announced the staged suicide. That official also spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the investigation publicly.

Authorities have said their investigation points to criminal activity by at least two other people but have refused to identify those individuals.

The family's attorneys, Henry Tonigan and Andrew Kelleher, have not responded to numerous voicemail and email messages from The Associated Press seeking comment.

Gliniewicz's police personnel file contained numerous commendations for good work early in his career with the department, which began in 1985. But in just a few years, he was racking up reprimands and suspensions for such things as lying about being sick and giving motorists the wrong court dates on their traffic citations.

In 2003, a dispatcher complained Gliniewicz tried to intimidate her by bringing guns into the radio room after the two had a disagreement during which Gliniewicz allegedly told her he could put three bullets in her chest if she didn't stop acting foolishly.

A couple weeks later, the chief eliminated Gliniewicz's job as commander of support services because of his "problems with the communications division."

Also in 2003, a female officer filed a federal sexual harassment lawsuit against the village and the Police Department. The officer said Gliniewicz, while working as her supervisor, pressured her to perform sex acts multiple times in 2000 in exchange for him protecting her job. She later was dismissed from the department.

The village acknowledged in the lawsuit that Gliniewicz was suspended for 30 days for conduct unbecoming an officer, but insisted the sexual conduct was consensual.

Court records show a judge dismissed the case in 2005 after the female officer's attorney repeatedly missed deadlines to file court documents.

In 2006, Gliniewicz was promoted to lieutenant in control of the patrol division.

A letter in the file dated Feb. 1, 2009, addressed to then-Mayor Cynthia Irwin and signed only by "Anonymous Members of the Fox Lake Police Department" outlined complaints about Gliniewicz that included: allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a subordinate officer and the sexual harassment of a dispatcher, complaints from bouncers at local bars for being drunk and belligerent, and allegations that he allowed members of the youth program unsupervised access to the Police Department and the opportunity to wear clothing labeled "police," misidentifying themselves as officers.

It was not clear from the file whether any action was taken in response to the letter. The AP attempted to reach Irwin late Thursday for comment, but a number listed for her rang unanswered and another number for her was disconnected.

This story has been corrected to show that another officer, not a sheriff's deputy, took Gliniewicz home after he was found passed out, and that a phone number listed for Irwin rang unanswered.

his policewoman executed a man with two shots to the back while he was being tazed.
http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/nov/05/pennsylvania-officer-acquitted-murder-david-kassick

He was stopped for an expired registration vehicle.

He was unarmed.

He was on his stomach, being tazed in the snow.

He was 59 years old.

She was acquitted.

-----------------------------------------------------
The video, which was played to jurors, showed Mearkle shocking 59-year-old David Kassick after he fled from a traffic stop before shooting him twice in the back as he lay face down in the snow in February.

After the verdict, Mearkle tearfully said she was sorry the shooting had happened.

“I feel relief right now, but it’s going to take a little bit for me to get back to my normal self,” she told reporters. “This has taken a toll on me that nobody understands.”

Mearkle said she wanted Kassick’s family to know that: “I truly wish it didn’t happen. I want them to know that. I didn’t want to shoot anybody.”

Mearkle, 37, testified on Wednesday that she believed Kassick was still a threat even after she shocked him repeatedly with a stun gun.

In the video, which was later released to the public after the verdict was handed down, Kassick’s hands repeatedly disappeared underneath his body as Mearkle screamed at him to keep them where she could see them and then fired the fatal shots.

Yes we all know that you are anti-cop period and are willing to show black cops in bad lights also if need be.

The problem is that out of a millions cops or so in the US bad cops are very rare indeed.and that is not not even considering cops such as officer Wilson who it turn out did zero wrong.in killing Mr. Brown.

Even while being taser he was not obeying her lawful orders to him.

He placed her in reasonable fear for her life by his actions IE a clear case of self defense.

Idiot taser does not always stop all persons from being able to pull and used a weapon!!!!!!!!

See how the last guy on the following video was able to keep attacking taser or no taser ,more then once beginning two minutes into the video.

Oh that had happen out in the field with suspects being able to take taser hits and keep on coming.

FBI Agent Found Guilty for Assaulting Innocent Child on Video — Keeps Job, Badge, Gun

The agent escalates the situation simply because that is what he is trained to do.

Having a child question his authority, was enough to send the power-tripping FBI agent over the edge. Geral Rogero then walks up to the child, who is half his size, and shoves him so hard that the teen flew back 10 feet before falling to the ground.

Rockville, MD — FBI agent, Geral John Rogero, 45, was accompanying a friend on her way to pick her child from her estranged husband when things got out of hand.

Rogero, unable to contain his divine authority, began to get a little too involved in this family matter. When the estranged husband is late, Rogero begins to chastise him.

Acting as nothing more than a strong arm for the mother, Rogero escalates the situation simply because that is what he is trained to do. Perplexed by the notion of the mother bringing an armed agent of the state to their hand off meeting, the 15-year-old son becomes agitated and asks Rogero why he is even involved.

Having a child question his authority, was enough to send the power-tripping FBI agent over the edge. Rogero then walks up to the child, who is half his size, and shoves him so hard that the teen flew back 10 feet before falling to the ground.

After assaulting the child, Rogero, so offended that someone would question his supreme wisdom, then attempts to arrest the 15-year-old for no reason.

When the child resists being kidnapped by this deranged lunatic, Rogero pulls his gun out. He then claims that he is going to arrest the boy’s mother who tried to stop him. Rogero asserts that a mother attempting to stop an aggressive maniac from assaulting her son is “assault on a federal officer.”

Of course, when the police show up, the boy is treated like a hardened criminal. The video shows one officer place his boot on the boy’s back. Had it not been for the person filming this incident, the entire situation could have turned out horribly for this family.

Only after authorities saw the compelling video, did they choose to charge one of their own. Rogero was indicted on three counts of first-degree assault, second-degree assault and use of a handgun in the commission of a felony.

This week, Rogero was found guilty of the second-degree assault charges, but was acquitted on the other two more serious charges of nearly killing an innocent child with a pistol. His defense team was able to convince a jury that Rogero legitimately “feared for his life” (seriously), and so he was justified in pulling his gun.

The defense claimed that the “life threatening” attack from the teen happened in the brief moments in which the camera panned away.

Resolute in the notion that he would escape all charges for his crimes due to his status of government enforcer, Rogero had a panic attack after the guilty verdict was read in the courtroom. He had to be transported to a local hospital after he was experiencing shortness of breath.

In spite of just being convicted of assaulting a child, it was announced that Rogero would remain in his job, on active duty, and keep his badge and gun.
