Is it too soon to tell?

So here I go single mom if two on Pof dating site. I've been on and off of it for a while I sent this guy a message who lives close and is super cute. Best of all we talk like we've been friends for years by joking around and being sarcastic. We have yet to run out of anything to say.

Basically I met him on Thursday night he didn't want me going to the casino by myself so told me to come pick him up. I did he got in the car no hesitation and we went on talking about just everything. Basically lost our butts off but I have food comp money so we grabbed a bite. Anyhow while we were eating he was telling me about his kids showed me pics and his baby mama problems. He also mentioned his ex they only dated about a month and this was 3 weeks ago. Basically laid everything out on the table and told me where he stands. We still chatted a while after I brought him home. And he kind of said like with everything I told u is on my plate u still wanna talk?

So I guess what I'm asking after him telling me all these details of his life and ex love... is he just being friendly or just giving me a heads up so if we date I know where he stands. Now since we've met we've texted 3 days straight from waking up until bedtime. If we're just headed toward friendship why are we texting constantly and getting to know each other so well? We joke and talk about everything. We even talked jokingly about getting a dog that we both thought was cute. And he told me he would be cool hanging out with my kids. I was going to pick him up from work because his car recently got stolen and he comments "not the ideal situation for meeting your kids"., I ended up not getting him but anyway. I told him I closed my pof profile and told them I met my prince charming he kind if just laughed it off. I know he's on a dating website so ud think that's what he's looking for. But today while we were texting he's like I'm looking for friends if I find my wife on pof then so be it. So I feel that was a set back to me like oh I thought we were pretty cool. But I know it's only been a few days. Any thoughts here? Ty all for reading my rambling...
