Hi all,
I am not very clear about emulation and simulation. I have written 2 definitions, may I ask whether they are defined correctly? Many thanks in advance.

Emulation refers to a system is designed to behave as a different system.
Simulation refer to replicate the internal complete state of a target.

@Loh Jane,
Both words refer to the idea of copying something, but differ in the implied purpose for it. "Emulation" generally suggests copying in order to equal or exceed the results of something, while "simulation" suggests copying to represent what is being copied, often for the purpose of analysis. Your definitions are not far off, but are reversed.
