Sudden Erectile Dysfunction at 35, preceded by lower back pain

Thu 26 Jun, 2014 08:32 am
I had ED suddenly in November 2013 (writing this in June 2014). Since then morning erections have also gradually gone down to almost none or very weak. The size of the penis has also shrunk. I've recently read about Peyronie's disease. Though there's no curve, and no hourglass shape when erect. When flaccid, very rarely the hourglass shape is slightly visible.
In September'13, I had an excruciating lower back pain which led to sciatica like pain in the buttocks and down, and it troubled me for quite some time -- at the moment it's relieved because i have been taking some homeopathic medicine since last 3 months. Can there be a connection of the back pain and ED?
We have no history of diabetes, heart trouble in the family on both maternal and paternal sides. I'm 35 right now, 5'8'', and weigh about 73kg. I was once married and had a daughter but now divorced since 6 years.
Will really appreciate any help. Thanks

@Forforum,
What does your doctor say about this? Of course, you have seen your doctor, right?

Of course, you wouldn't be asking a bunch of strange, non-medical forum users over the advice of a medical professional in-person, correct?

@Forforum,
If you my son I'd insist you see a doctor, a real doctor not a herbalist. You may have a serious problem that can be fixed easily. Left unattended it could become a very big problem.

"Good Morning Doc, I have Peyronie's and wonder if you can treat it for me?"

"How do you know you have Peyronie's?"

"Some strangers on a random information forum confirmed it for me."

"And how many years have they spent in Medical training?"

"Well, one said he once went out with a nurse for a few months.....ooh, and another used to live next door to a trainee Doctor."

"Well, that definitely confirms it. I shall immediately book you in for corrective surgery. Goodbye."

@Forforum,
Yes, there is a connection between low back diseases and sexual symptoms. A few diseases can combine to induce an erectyl disfuntion on a young man.

The real troublesome thing of this is that the problem has last a lot. More than 7 months. You need a complete neurological and vascular evaluation of your pelvis and lower spine. Avoid homeopathic treatment and such alternative treatmets. They will only make you loose time.

Your best bet will be with an Internist and an Urologist working toghether.

Stop asking questions and move.
