Do You Think You May Have An Internet Addiction?

I am - and I have stated (on Abuzz) that I know why!

The responses to our threads/comments take the form of an intermittent reinforcement schedule, which is the most powerful reward based behaviour shaper - and the most resistant to extinction - that we know (except implanting electrodes right into the pleasure centres, and making them respond to an action by the one implanted - rats will then keep stimulating their pleasure centres until they die).

I am actually serious - though there are other factors, of course.....

I can easily stay off the PC, but I do enjoy checking forums, messages, livejournals, news, shopping etc.

I could quit anytime....No, really, I could! I only use the computer to check up on important things that are currently going on.
