Women who cheat

You said in your previous thread that the woman you are seeing is separated so I'm not sure why you consider her relationship with you 'cheating'. Anyway Chai already gave you an answer... every person's story is unique. Do you think that's any less true of women than it is of you?

There are several reasons men and women cheat. I think one reason is that the relationship they're in is over, even though they haven't said it. The romance is dead. I also think people cheat because its important for people to feel attractive and desired. Too often we become complacent in our relationships and fail to remind our partner that they are valued and beautiful. Women in particular need this reinforcement.

I think there can be many excuses to list. Sometimes people become resentful that the relationship is not going well. They are not ready to ended it or know how to address the problems...so they choose infidelity. Having said that...some stick it to the end without being disloyal/unfaithful. I think it's a matter of selfishness.

I never cheated on my husband, but I have seen others do it. Most of the time, it is a cry for attention.

Boredom or neglect in the bedroom, Poor personal hygiene or working at the job too much are more causes.

Cheating is very obvious. People let their marriages go stale and it dies slowly day by day until one day you wake up and think "I don't want to spend the rest of my life with this person.'

1. Dead relationship.
2. Lack of emotional intimacy.
3. She's just a whore.
4. Retribution for your real or imagined cheating.

These are the first ones that come to mind.

I still think no matter what happens in the marriage...honesty is still the best answer. But-- I agree with this, you have to keep working at a marriage. It is a garden that requires care. But sometimes the gardener is stressed, tired, or even sick. Sometimes you have a gardener and a flower. I don't think cheating is obvious...I've heard people say one should know. I disagree. But. I do think people feel there's something not quite right. Call it a gut feeling. I think it is cowardly to not face things directly....either way.
