A side dish to the matter. The Mexican referee of the Italy - Uruguay game is known here as Chiquidrácula (Kiddracula). They say he was secretly sympathetic to Suárez.

I've been reading different takes on this third episode, with one making the most sense to me. I'll see if I can find that again and post it if so, but in short it was by a german player, now commentator, who got in similar (but not completely) trouble in his playing past.

I have some sympathy for Suarez, yes he's a complete idiot for what he's done, but when you put it into perspective what he's done is more unusual than harmful.
There's a lot worse things than taking a nibble out of someone. You can do a lot more damage with your elbow or a headbutt and look at Zidane, all he got was a 3 match ban for headbutting Materazzi.
Talk of banning him for 2 years is ott.
He should be treated no better or worse than any player who assaults another player whether it be biting, punching, headbutting etc.
Personally i think use of the elbow is about the worst and most dangerous of fouls and yet if Suarez had used an elbow we wouldn't be talking about it now.

Tico needs seven goals by Ronaldo, with neither Klose nor Mûller scoring.
lmur needs seven goals by Hazard, with neither Klose nor Mûller scoring, and Ronaldo not making two.
Lordyaswas only needs Podolski to come out of the bench and score eight for Germany.
In all other cases, fbaezer wins Phase 1.

Time to start resetting your strikers for Phase 2.
If they are not reset, the same strikers from Phase 1 will keep on playing.
