I'd like to see England win this one, but I doubt they do. Most likely Spain again.

England are not there yet, for various reasons. Hopefully these will be rectified by 2018, but then again, pigs might fly.

I fancy Brazil to do it on home turf. Or Germany.

Brazil will win the 2014 world cup in the football section. Because Brazil is the most popular and famous team in the football world. more then time Brazil becomes champion in the football world. So my point of view Brazil will be won the world cup in 2014

The draw was today. My take:

Bad luck for the English, who have to face Uruguay and Italy.
Worse luck for Costa Rica, who also has to face England.
Worst luck for the USA, who managed to both have Germany, Portugal and their foe Ghana in the group, the longest trips and the hottest climate.

Good luck for Brazil, easy peasy group.
Better luck for France, who managed to play (almost) the weakest possible rivals.
Best luck for Argentina, who not only has an easy group, but will go on the next round against the runner-up of the France-Switzerland-Honduras-Ecuador group.

I did make a groaning noise last night after hearing of the US grouping.

I think they will beat/draw Germany and Ghana this time, but fail against Portugal.

US is in 'Groups of Death'.

Die Mannschaft is, IMHO, well above all other members of Group G, and the side to fear the most, of all 32 teams, in the first round stage.
On the other side, Portugal depends way too much on Cristiano Ronaldo and one never knows about Ghana... all African teams are inconsistent.
Anyway, I wish the Gringos good luck.

I dunno, every world cup the US has more and more players getting international experience and the MLS does have some excellent players in it from America. I think the other teams in group G are just as sad about the grouping as the US. There is no clear path for any of them.

USA have really tough opponents in their group. This will be an interesting group.

As a native Austrian I am interested if Andi Herzog gets some public attention in the US. I know, he is only an assistant of Klinsmann, but does he sometimes give interviews or something like that?

I hope England can win but I think Spain or Germany will be the champion
