In movies Russians always say comrade (in English), how do you say this in Russian?
"Tovarish." I'm not sure if that's the official English spelling though.
I think that it is more like "Tovarisch". Remember, what you are doing is transliterating, so what you want to do is best capture the sound of the word in a different alphabet.
hey all i am russian and ukranian if you want to know anything in russian tell me
and you say this by tovarich
phoenix u were close
Dal, there are two more people having Russian as a native tongue: DocentP and me. But Ukrainian for me is like Chinese: do not know even one word...
@Tai Chi,
not to be confused with nail polish for the feet
toe varnish
