pueo,
Looks like we have two more bets. I'm not changing my picks. Very Happy
I guess we'll both have a word or two to say this week-end.

I think williamhenry really does want to watch, and does care who wins the Superbowl, but doesn't want to admit it to himself.
Otherwise, why would he bother to respond at all to forum about the Superbowl?
I think we should convince him to join our club Very Happy .

Well, it won't be the NY Giants winning it. The NY Times, for the past two days, has been running multiple stories about the injustice of it all.

Not that I disagree, necessarily, though the Times is additionally miffed about not being able to report on a Subway Superbowl for the rest of the country to gag over...

I think it's an injustice, and I don't even particularly like the Giants. So I think it's genuinely a story there. I thought it was interesting today that they said (NYT) that it is indeed possible to do a "do-over", rules-wise, just probably way impractical.

The game is over, it's time to move on. If the Giants had played better throughout the game, that one call really wouldn't have made a difference.
I wish every game were played throughout as if only two minutes remained. Cool

pueo,
Explain the time difference to me, then I'll let you know just how crazy it is.
Are you talking about waking up at 4:30 A.M., or P.M.? So, it's Sat. here when it's Sun. there, and Sun. here when it's Mon. there?
You know, it wouldn't be so difficult if you just moved to the states.
Our bet is on right? You're taking the Jets over Oakland. So, if I lose I owe you how many bagels?
My spouse is picking the Steelers, Phila., Oakland, and the 49ers. We have two bets.

4:30 am, up with the roosters this morning only to find out that today's games begin at 7:30 am. tomorrow (monday for me) it's 4:30 am.

i'm not taking the jets. remember i picked oakland and tampa bay for the superbowl.

your spouse picked good ones although it seems that the titans will prevail
from what i've heard so far. but the 49'ers! that ones doomed to failure.

pueo,
Tenn. did win, but not by much! Too close for comfort if you ask me.
So, then I guess we don't have bet on this week-ends games, since we both want Oakland and Tampa Bay. I misunderstood your previous comments, but I re-read them and get them now. Forgive me, sometimes I'm a bit slow. Embarrassed
Well, maybe next week? Smile

I think that the Tennessee game is a GREAT argument for NCAA (College) style overtimes. 1st and ten at the defending teams 25, match or beat the score.

Also, I think that Pittsburgh should look at trading Stewart for a 1st round pick to draft Mike Doss from THE Ohio State University.

But my San-Fran/Oakland game looks pretty good--so far.

At 41-24 Raidahs with 2 minutes to go, I think it's safe to say that...pueo is a psychic.

If the Titans had won I'da hada hard time pickin' a favorite for next Sunday.

Go Bucs!
