@tsarstepan,
Tsar, She reminds me of a Canadian singer we both love; Kathleen Edwards and her terrific band.

This one's for Osso. It's about old couples.

I have much admiration for Petra Magoni's vocal technique and daring projects. The above is a "normal" arrangement though, with piano, as opposed to the radically minimalist stuff (bass+voice) Musica Nuda normally plays. E.g:

One of the very, very few records I have ever called a DJ (radio station) to play on the air.

At least there is this that we have in common.

@vonny,
Hard Times Come Again No More-Absolutely gorgeous song written by America's first pop song writer Stephen Foster in 1854.

"While we seek mirth and beauty and music light and gay,
There are frail forms fainting at the door;
Though their voices are silent, their pleading looks will say
Oh hard times come again no more."

@panzade,
There was a recent CD of Foster songs by a good tenor backed by a good orchestra. Sadly, i don't recall who did it. Hard Times Come Again No More was on that recording and got a lot of air play on the classical station here last year.

@Setanta,
I'm not sure, but I thought it might be on the soundtrack of the Ken Burns documentary The Civil War...which is a great soundtrack.
