Allrighty, this one is amusing. This is the Pretty Reckless. This group has a girl vocalist, Taylor Momsen, is probably more known for her role as a goody little teenaged girl in Gossip Girl.
I haven't really heard much from the hardrock/metal scene in this thread, and while I'm not a huge fan of the genre, I occasionally while away with songs like the one below. They deserve some credit as well...

Here's one of my personal favorites by Mary Black.
No-one comes to Sarah Brightman, just beautiful. Saw her a few years ago she puts on a great show
I steered clear of Sarah Brightman for now, because someone has actually mentioned her: In fact, this here thread opened four years ago with a song by Sarah Brightman
Here's my favorite song by her.

Just a little double entendre on your nation's history. Keep the songs coming, my friend.
Coincidentally (or not,perhaps... this has come up years and years ago, I think in the time of Abuzz), it's also an entendre with my actual name
Well, here's a lady with a lovely voice. I only found this song by happenstance, when I saw the movie it was featured in (A Girl Like Her). Had to look it up, I loved it. Thought perhaps you guys might like it too...

Yet again going out of my true comfort zone music wise, this time not so much with metal, but with rap. Missy Elliot was such an unique personality, and the hook from the Ann Peebles song is absolutely perfect. It's catchy, and at least for me, if I listen to it, it's stuck in my noggin for the rest of the day!
Also, the music video is something else. It's perfect: fisheye lense FTW!
TLC. Yet another product from the 90's. I was instantly a fan of the very first song I heard from them, 'I ain't too proud to beg'. It's a trip. And when I saw a girl rapping with some sort of weird fluorescent green contraption on her head and fake glasses, with the left one actually being a fake omelet... Well, she was special. Too bad she (Lisa 'Left Eye' (the L from TLC) Lopes) died early in the 2000's in a car crash.
I thought that song was so unbelievably catchy when I first heard it. Heh. Still bear it a warm heart though. Girl could dance! (as a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure she worked as a choreographer for Michael Jackson and his sister as well...)

A tragic loss of talent & for me the greatest loss in the music world.
