You did not see the word " like" did you.....it was the indicator that I was talking figuratively.

@hawkeye10,
Even your figuratively-speak is without any basis. Just your own imagination working overtime.

I don't think he has many "advocates," although he has defenders. Considering that he is an old and deluded person who was set up by his paid courtesan and her pimp, I do have doubts on whether he was treated fairly. We should also consider whether the penalties should be so harsh for speaking poliitically incorrect. I wager the NBA players do this a lot.

To say nothing of the others owners for that matter.

FOR THE RECORD:
I do NOT, and have never, considered myself to have been "shafted".
I have led a very comfortable and successful life, been dealt with fairly (or better than fairly),
and I now enjoy the un-demanding Golden Years of my life.

Read the posting over as it does not as far as I can see stated that any of us think that we have been shafted ourselves but that we likely think that Sterling had been shafted.

O, I c.

I re-iterate my position that the left is only screaming
because Sterling took a controversial attitude which the left DISLIKES.

If he had adopted a controversial position that the left FAVORS,
e.g., gun control, and the same hostile, lynch-mob vilification afflicted him,
then the left wud be screaming for Don 's freedom to believe what he wants.

Its only a question of whose ox is gored.

My ancestry is from Devon Shire, England. If a bunch of Irishmen
wanna make any kind of negative remarks about the English,
I 'll stand up for their right to believe what thay want
and I 'll stand up for their right to free speech.

I reserve my right to inveigh in counter-attack against the Irish.

Others, who love personal liberty LESS than I do,
will take different points of vu.

It's not what the left DISLIKES. It's what people who dislike bigots dislikes.
FYI, not all conservatives are racial bigots.

@cicerone imposter,
A bigot is just someone with powerful emotions
applied to his beliefs.

I wonder whether the principle of "bigotry" is applicable
to the lynch-mob mentality with which Sterling is being persecuted for his beliefs. Hhhhhmmmmmmmm

@cicerone imposter,
People should not loss their property due to others not liking their opinions with very special note of opinions that was placed into the public sphere without the owner permission.

U can see it in the hysteria
that people bring to the expression of their opinions. Its not difficult.

I stopped calling myself an attorney on the date of my retirement, years ago.
U seem to be obsessed with that (that and with penises; u bring them up a lot).
I suspect that u have an inferiority complex, from your posts.

@OmSigDAVID,
CI appears to be pretty short in his pics, maybe that explains it. I however am betting it is reaction to the onset of dementia. A few years should tell.

Once upon a time a very famous TV minister released some dirt on a rival minister and ruin the man career.

Instead of just saying what the hell the man in turn hired a PI and found that the man who did him in was himself spending times with hookers in hotel rooms and within a few months he had his revenge.

I can still see the man crying on TV and asking for forgiveness that the church he founded did not grant.

Now would it not be amusing if Sterling would spend a few millions on PIs to dig up dirt on Sliver and the other owners as you and others had have no problem declaring that the private lives of owners should control if they are allow to be owners.

We could not for example have an owner who had donate funds to support anti-gay marriages laws now can we?

Those who are without sins or in this case without any non-PC opinions should be the only ones willing to cast stones.

I can, if I want to take the trouble
to re-trace your posting history, but I 'll just allow the memory
of each member hereof who has read your posts to suffice on that point.

U appear to have some latent homosexual issues,
straining to reveal themselves.
