I have been accused of being a "Vichy Liberal". This sounds very bad. Other than researching "Vichy", what does this generally mean in slang terminology?

It's a new one on me, Esteban. I have never heard the expression. It would seem to refer to Vichy France, which was France under German occupation during World War II. So the Vichy were considered collaborators with the enemy Germans.

But that's just a guess on my part. Again, I've never heard this expression used in American jargon.
