I heard about the ceramic poppies display around the Tower of London just this morning.

The display of ceramic poppies is spectacular. A truly moving artistic installation. People are visiting it in their millions.

Sting, who I've always really enjoyed, has been making TV appearances to promote his new Broadway show, 'The Last Ship". The more music I hear from this show, the more I like it.

Sting was born in the same part of the world as me - the North-East of England - and I've been interested in his career since he first performed with Police.

Watched this live today, as it was going on. Amazing rescue by the NYFD. Thank goodness no one was injured. There's a brief video clip on this page that gives a good idea of how the scaffold was hanging and how high up it was.

I watched the Breeders Cup a few weeks ago and was so disappointed to see Chrome come in third--despite my loudly cheering him on.

I agree with you--he's still gorgeous, very gorgeous.

What's the problem?

I'm not a big fan of eggnog since it always seems to upset my stomach. I think I may have a negative reaction to nutmeg, and the high fat content in eggnog. I do like the flavor though, particularly in eggnog ice cream, which doesn't bother me at all.

Feel free to request any other holiday goodies you would prefer.

Perfect, ehBeth, all of it---the popcorn, the cider, the movie, even the socks.

Sitting by the fire might be nice, but I'm agreeable to a club chair as well.
