Is this sentence grammatically correct?
"His face resembles the face of his father very much."

Maybe take off the words "very much".
His face resembles the face of his father.
"Definitely", "unquestionably", "remarkably", "noticeably",.. ?
Try placing the word(s) after the word "face".
Or maybe try no adverbs,...

Yes, there's nothing wrong with it.
We'd probably say "He looks very like his dad. A "chip off the old block"".

There's nothing grammatically wrong with it, even if it does not sound very idiomatic. The question was about grammar.
