I was simply amazed when I read this, and then after watching new info about crop circles last night, I realized that folks just love UFO's and odd occurrences, and that includes me.

Come on, now. Admit it. Don't you often wonder?
Nah, Letty, I beleive they are out there.
Well, Joanne. The truth ain't out there, and that's a certainty.
Keep watching the skies, I guess...er, make that the ground...or the wheat fields.
Once upon a time when the Good People were still active in Ireland, many and many a man on his way home who had just a wee drop too much cheer was carried off to a fairy mound, entertained by the Fey and dropped off in a ditch to meet the sunrise.
Now it seems no longer necessary to indulge in a "wee drop"--certainly not in a good Muslim teetotaling nation like Iran.
Noddy, I guess publicity is the name of the game: however, it does pay to keep an open mind. For all we know, we could be living in a parallel universe. Frankly, I haven't seen anything myself, but I am intrigued with why others, especially Irani's, would.
Lettie--
I'd like to believe in UFO's--even more attractive to my mind than Fairy Mounds--but have you noticed how many UFO believers are rather rabid?
I'd rather believe that Extraterrestials are clever enough to keep a low profile. I'd hate to be observed by an inept alien race.
You're right, Noddy. Just think about our rather maladroit Big Brother.
Break a leg, gal. Oops--you're not even in the legitimate theatre...
Unfortunately, dahling, my theatrical days treading the boards are behind me....still, if anyone is looking for a community theater director.....
Ah, the roar of the greasepaint, the applause of the multitudes, the chance to play goddess...
Extraterrestrials always turn up in areas where the locals won't be trusted with their 'sightings' by the general public. Hmmm....them aliens ARE keeping a low profile, and they be smart too. Now if they did descend on the US in droves, would they be considered 'illegal', and if so, would folks be upset if they qualified for benefits?
(Sorry, referencing another thread.)
doglover. The re-entry into the crop circle thing on The Discovery Channel, went in to all the hoaxes, also. If I can find a link, I shall return.
Somewhere I read that the Roswell affair could have been a Japanese plane. Gotta look for that, too.
You're a good sport, Noddy. One of these days, cognitive archaeologists will discover the pins in your leg bone, and decide that you were part of plan 9 from outer space, far superior to any lost cities and vanished civilizations.
Cav, hilarious. They would probably have to suffer the same fate as all people who swim the Rio Grande--but they wouldn't be called wet backs, they would be called No good green cards.
I read that thread, incidentally.
Letty, I think they might need 'grey' cards.
Lettie--
I've known by my allergies for more than 50 years that I was destined for (demoted from?) a more ethereal plane of existence.
Please note that I am purely alien.
One of the reasons that I distrust UFO sightings is that so many of the sighters have been ravished by aliens--with and without permission. Odd that the cross-breeds among us aren't more conspcuous....
Perhaps the current plague of autism....?
Cav, you funny thing. I should know better than to try and upstage you.
This is all I could find about that Discovery Channel presentation:

It is more fun to belive in UFO's than not to belive in them. But I do not expect them in my back yard anytime soon.
Noddy, my dear. You are too much. Between Cav and Noddy and all, we may be able to do an off Broadway play featuring Green People and Water rats, all autistic, of course.
Acquiunk, now please tell me what a cognitive archaeologist is. Of course, you do realize that if one should appear in your back yard, the U.S. Air Corps will cover it up...with wheat, probably.
