what about heaven

I'm 26 I feel very uncomfortable about death because I don't want to leave behind certain things. I don't want to leave behind the little children because they are dear to me. I don't want to leave behind my family and friends. I don't want to leave behind my music rig and it's tone I play electric guitar, electric bass, synthesizer, Theremin, and harmonica mainly electric guitar and synthesizer though and also I don't want to leave behind my hard drives I've been collecting information and maintaining backups for years and I also don't want to give up the sensation of a body such as the warmth of a hug the feeling of the strings on my fingers children sitting on my lap the smells and sounds etc I don't want to lose that will all of that be present in heaven and in case anyone is wondering I am christian and I honestly just do the best I can

@qava2673,
All these thoughts and emotions are a function of your brain. When you're dead your brain will be dead and will turn into compost and you won't be able to process these thoughts and emotions. You won't miss a thing.

@Pearlylustre,
I'm sorry you feel that way but I'm not really looking for an atheist to answer

@qava2673,
You just want answers from people who will comfort you in your delusions?

Sorry, atheists can post too..

@qava2673,
Enjoy life and make the best of it. Do not worry about what life after death will be like at this time in your life.
Nobody atheists, Christians or any other religion knows if there is life after death,if there is a heaven the way we think about it.
A christian might be all wrong and a atheist might be correct about heaven.

@timur,
You can believe what you want I can believe what I want but I genuinely believe in Jesus Christ and I urge you for your own sake to have a more open mind but it all comes down to you and I'm not going to tell you what to believe and this is not a discussion on weather or not heaven is real

@qava2673,
What's sad is Earth was created to be our own Heaven.

@qava2673,
As timur said, you can't control what answers you get on this board. If you only want Christian answers go to a Christian board. You're not showing a very 'open mind' yourself.

@qava2673,
God didn't create Man in the Heaven the Angel's lived in. We were created on Eden, Earth, master of all it's beauty and creatures. We were meant to build and live in our own Heaven, in our human experience.

How do you know that?

@timur,
I don't, it's my interpretation of the Bible. I don't have to believe in something to interpret it.

@Pearlylustre,
I'm not trying to control the answers but an atheist just isn't qualified to answer questions about the afterlife

@qava2673,
I'm 63, and i feel very uncomfortable about death, too--and that's probably because i'm closer to it than you are. However, i can take no comfort from bronze age fairy tales by unwashed, lousy and flea-bitten, slack-jawed hillbillies.

I also know the difference between the words whether and weather, but that, of course is a minor point in the scheme of things. What you may not realize is that the distinction between believing that one will die and go to heaven or hell, and accepting that one will die and the only result is obliteration is a minor point in the scheme of things, too.

@mikeymojo,
Oh, I should have known, another bible thumper!

Do you know that the Christ forgave adulterous women?

However, lots of good christians come on this site to complain about their cheating spouses.

Unlike the Christ, they don't forgive..

What do you think about babies being thrown at walls?
