Answers to what?
I asked you that on page 2 of this thread, 2nd post. You haven't answered. For your convenience, here's what I said in blue below.
What are you asking? You make a post saying you don't want to leave certain things, but you certainly haven't asked anything.

Bottom line, it doesn't matter if you don't want to leave this, that or the other.

We all die, that's all there is to it.

Not really sure where you want this thread to go. Are you asking something? Are you just wanting us to know you don't want to leave certain things you know in life?

What is it you're hoping to get out of this?

That is a ridiculous line of questioning to be frank with you.

Do you envision your afterlife as being what you are right now? That there will be physical things like hard drives, and that (to me most horrible) there are people who died as children and will forever remain children?

Yes qav, you will die and you will be transported to a magical land where you can still post on Facebook and Twitter, there will be children that for all eternity will be trapped in the consciousness of a child and you can play with them for your pleasure, your hard drives will remain perfectly intact and you can download whatever you want with no storage limits, you will make friends that you can sit around with and drink heavenly coffee and talk about the lastest celeb that has come over, and your musical instruments will never need tuning. In 100 trillion years, your hard drive will still be there for you.

I hope that puts your mind at rest.

@qava2673,
Never mind the trolls who feel the need to belittle your beliefs.

Weather or not there is a God and a Heaven, it's hard to imagine why anyone might, reasonably, feel compelled to disabuse you of your beliefs which apparently give you comfort; let alone insult you for them.

There isn't anyone that can tell you that Heaven does or doesn't exist or what it is like, and so you're not likely to get true comfort, in this forum, as respects your concerns.

Treasure and enjoy those things you find precious while you live and trust in God to care for you when you die.

And take some small comfort in the fact that if the atheists are right, when you die, you won't know what you are missing.

@timur,
So because the followers are unable to unerringly abide by the teachings, the teacher must not exist?

Who, in their right mind, would not consider the throwing of babies against walls to be horrific?

That this happens proves what?

That a happy-ass God who promises to keep us all free of anything horrific doesn't exist?

OK, you win.

In the general scheme of things, why is the murder of a human baby any more horrific than a day old Wildebeest being eaten alive by hyenas?

Nature is acceptably cruel, but God can't be?

God is a fairy tale for which there isn't a scrap of real evidence. Our ancestors made up the story because they were primitives living before the invention of science, and people continue to believe it because it tells them what they need to hear - that they won't really die and that most of their enemies will be punished. Imaginary friends are for children. Let anyone who disagrees with me tell me some evidence that there is a God.

I don't care to base my theory of the universe on the magical thinking of the ancients for which there isn't a scrap of supporting evidence. I'll take the truth, please, whether it's comforting or not.

I'm 26 I feel very uncomfortable about death because I don't want to leave behind certain things. I don't want to leave behind the little children because they are dear to me. I don't want to leave behind my family and friends. I don't want to leave behind my music rig and it's tone I play electric guitar, electric bass, synthesizer, Theremin, and harmonica mainly electric guitar and synthesizer though and also I don't want to leave behind my hard drives I've been collecting information and maintaining backups for years and I also don't want to give up the sensation of a body such as the warmth of a hug the feeling of the strings on my fingers children sitting on my lap the smells and sounds etc I don't want to lose that will all of that be present in heaven and in case anyone is wondering I am christian and I honestly just do the best I can
I suggest that u study the body of literature of Near Death Experiences,
conveniently available in the New Age sections of many bookstores.

People tell of returning from Heaven.

Try this, for an answer:
www.IANDS.org Its free.

I enjoy attending its annual convention ( I think in San Diego, this year??)
Many people who have returned from death of the human body attend.

There are living people, some of whom I 've seen or met,
who died as babies, less than a year. Thay said that during the death
of their human bodies, thay got out of those bodies and resumed being adults,
until problems with their human bodies were medically resolved,
whereupon thay re-entered their human bodies; at that time,
thay were no longer adult, but resumed being babies and grew up.

(Thay will probably incarnate many times.)

To my mind, that is plausible,
because I have had some out-of-body experiences that I clearly remember.
Sadly, for me, thay were too short in duration. Kinda nice.

Jesus said there's a heavenly paradise, yet atheists say there's no such thing, so who are we to believe, the Son of God himself or atheists? Boy that's a tough one..Wink
Nobody knows where heaven is, or what it'll be like, all we know is that it'll be very nice.
Artists have tried to put it into pictures, this one is as good as any..Smile

You're obviously a connoisseur of fine art.
But do you really want to spend eternity in Disneyland? The queues are hell.

And you've established that Jesus lived and was the son of God how?
