My sentence:

-Let's make 100 days the limit, and then I will bring what you want; don't marry your daughter to others.
-Let's use 100 days as maximum,...

What's the natural way of saying let's make an agreement and within 100 days I will find that thing etc.?

@WBYeats,
...what you want; meantime though, don't marry your daughter to others

Yes, no, WB, I realize that isn't what you're asking, it's just that I'm a bit compulsive in the absence of context

My BH who as you're probably aware is much smarter than I, agrees that 1 is perfectly natural though 2 is okay depending on context and inclination

@WBYeats,

100 days makes maximum specific, WB.

In prose, 'a hundred days' or 'one hundred days' is better than '100 days'.

@contrex,
That seems to be the extent of your "rules".

@JTT,
Wouldn't it be better to say "in about 3 months"?

@spendius,
I didn't create the original example, Spendi.

@spendius,
The context seems to call for an exact period of time. Would a man after your daughter's hand be seen as resolute with "about 3 months"?

I'd be pleased if she took up with such a pragmatic fellow.

@WBYeats,
A daughter's hand, one hundred days and Contrex's lair is yours.

@contrex,
Given your dismal sense of propriety, I shouldn't be surprised if you sold her to white slavers, C.

I tried, but they didn't offer enough. I offered to throw in my wife and mother and they just laughed in my face.
